their preparation for RESA.

a state-trained mentor to support them,

If RESA participants are unsuccessful in
passing all part of RESA in 2013-2014, they
may retake deficient portions in 2014 –
2015.
Costs to implement RESA (use of software
platform; site licenses; assessors; facilitation
training, etc.) paid by ODE.
Resident Educator License
Extension
While the RE license is not renewable, it
is extendable for one year, on a case-
by-case basis (per Ohio Revised Code
3301.24.04).
License extension policy will be
provided in Fall 2013.

Resident Educator Program Year 4
More information about professional learning
opportunities for Year 4 REs will be provided in
Fall 2013.
Upon successful completion of RESA and all
Year 4 requirements, REs may apply for the 5-
year professional license.
