Onze grootste uitdaging n
detaillering.
bedrijfsdoelstellingen.

Russian crude producer Lukoil has reported a 15% rise in an-nual
net income to $10.4 billion on the back of high oil prices. The pro

day.Hydrocarbon production costs per barrel of oil equivalent rose
14.3% year-on-year to $4.71 in 2011, something Lukoil attribu-ted
to the appreciation of the ruble against the US dollar. The company
said its bottom line was also hit by a $955 mil-

All three ships will install flexible pipelines in Brazilian
waters, pursuant to Petrobras contracts
for the charter and operation of pipelaying support vessels,
which were awarded to Sapu-raCrest.
SapuraCrest is a leading Malaysian rig and offshore support
vessel operator. The company is listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock
Exchange.
IHC Merwede will build the two identical 550t pipelaying vessels
at the Krimpen aan den IJsselyard. These vessels are the first
fully integrated offshore vessels completely designed, engineered
and built by IHC Merwede with a pipelay spread supplied by IHC
Engi-neering Business. In addition, IHC Drives & Automation
will deliver the integrated automa-tion system, the full electrical
installation and the complete
electrical machinery package. Other IHC Merwede busines-ses,
such as IHC Piping, are also delivering equipment.
The third vessel - with a top tension capacity of 300t - will
also be designed and engi-neered by IHC Merwede. The vessel will be
- in accordance with the demands of Petrobras - built in Brazil, at
the OSX yard in Au, Rio de Janeiro. The pipelay spread will also be
supplied by IHC Engineering Busines.
The delivery dates for the ves-sels to be built in The
Nether-lands have been set for May and August 2014
respectively.
IHC Merwede is delighted with the orders that have been
confirmed by SapuraCrest and OSX, says IHC Merwedes President
Govert Hamers. Together with the pipelaying vessel we are building
for Subsea 7, IHC Merwede plays a major role as
technology provider on four of the six pipelaying vessels
ordered by Petrobras. We are extremely proud of our record on
reliability and cost effectiveness for the delivery, management and
execution of projects. These contracts reinforce our position as a
sup-plier of reliable, efficient and flexible vessels, and advanced
quipment that can meet the shortest possible lead times for the
demands of oil and gas projects.
IHC Merwede secures orders worth 450 million for three
pipelaying vessels
IHC Offshore & Marine, part of IHC Merwede, and SapuraCrest
have signed two contracts for the design, engineering and
construction of two new 550t pipe-laying vessels. A third contract
has been signed with OSX Construo Naval S.A. Brazil for the design
and engineering of a 300t pipelaying vessel, as well as a large
equipment package supplied by IHC Engineering Business, among
others. The orders have a total value of 450million.
HAMILTON, Bermuda Seadrill Ltd. (XOSL:SDRL) has entered into
turnkey contracts with Samsung for the construc-tion of two
ultra-deepwater drillships at $600 million each. Construction of
the drillships is scheduled for completion in the second and third
quarters 2014. The price includes a turnkey contract with the yard,
project management, drilling and handling tools, spares,
capitalized interest, and opera-tions preparations. Seadrill has
also a xed price option to order an additional drillship for
delivery in 2014. The drillships are the same design as the three
previous dual-derrick drillships Seadrill ordered from Samsung late
2010 and early 2011, with in-
creased water depth, technical capabilities and accommoda-tion
capacities. These dynamic positioning drillships will have a hook
load capability of 1,250 tons and a water depth capa-city of up to
12,000 ft (3,658 m) targeting operations in areas such as the Gulf
of Mexico, Brazil as well as West and East Africa. In addition,
these units will be out tted with seven ram con guration of the BOP
stack and with storing and handling capacity for a second BOP. In
making the decision to order the vessels, Seadrill cited a surge in
long-term demand for ultra-deepwater drilling rigs as well as
tender rigs driven by high oil prices and deepwater exploration
successes.

Crisismanagementtraining Falck Nutec door NOGEPA
geaccrediteerd
betrokken is.
opmerkingen opschreven was helemaal weg. De training was erg
professioneel en zeker pittig, aldus Jan Jaap Haan, Ton Verweij
(beiden E&I Technician) en Martin Boertjes (Lead Process
aangegaan. Senior instructeurs van Falck Nutec hebben het
curriculum geschreven, de NOGEPA 2.14 Management of Major
Emergencies.
crisissituatie.
Falck Nutec heeft de nieuwe NOGEPA 2.14 Management of Major
Emergencies (MoME) training ontwikkeld.
Europa.

WellTools will continue to operate from its Fife facility where
a recent expansion plan will increase current delivery capacity. In
addition to this move, the company has undertaken immediate
international expansion, offering its products to the global
market. Former owner, Paul Hilliard, will remain in place as the
general manager.
Reservoir Groups chief operating officer, Wade McCutcheon, said:
We were attracted to WellTools on the basis of its reputation for
ingenuity and its ability to design and manufacture bespoke
solutions for the industrys downhole services challenges.Reserves
are becoming increasingly costly to access, requiring our clients
and the overall supply chain to work harder in order to remain
efficient and profitable. As a result, collaboration and innovation
are key to future growth within the energy sector.WellTools Ltd
offers solutions to both the intervention and drilling market. In
welcoming the company to our club, we are adding new technologies
and expertise that will ultimately enhance our ability to address
the various challenges faced by the industry, while maintaining our

said: Joining Reservoir Group offers WellTools the opportunity to
expand our presence by building on the foundations that we have
established over the past seven years. While we will be taking an
independent route to market, the Groups excellent reputation across
the worldwide oil and gas industry, coupled with the synergies
existing with fellow members made this an obvious choice. Our
existing customer base will continue to benefit from the full
offering and engineering skills of the company.Personally, the
additional support offered by Reservoir will provide me with the
time and capacity to shift my focus to the engineering of new
bespoke solutions for the industry. Thats where Welltools Ltds true

directional control without drilling a large rat-hole or dedicated
directional motor run
Dana Petroleum, operating an offshore ex-ploration well in The
Netherlands, disco-veredan 11-m thick oil rim approximately 5 km
east of the P11 de Ruyter platform. To recover the maximum amount
of hydro-carbons before the well gassed out, the operator would
have to drill a maximum reservoir exposure well. Baker Hughes
de-ployed the AutoTrak system from the 17 -in. section onwards,
providing a gun-barrel hole geometry, especially through the
critical horizontal sections. Then, the AutoTrak X-treme
motor-powered ro-tary steerable system and the TesTrak formation
pressure while drilling services
were used to deliver a commercial tri-lateral well that drained
oil from the rim, while also producing the free gas above it. Baker
Hughes drilled a total of 7,926 m, while keeping the well within
centimeters of the plan without any failures or issues. This
exposure well ensured instant direc-tional control could be
achieved without the need for a large rathole or separate
di-rectional motor run outside the casing win-dows. The
comprehensiveness of the LWD data gathered through the TesTrak
service eliminated the need for a wireline run, mi-nimizing
recorded NPT for the project. Ad-ditionally, the gun-barrel
wellbore
geometry contributed to 2,000 m sand screens going into the well
with significantly lower drag than what was predicted. Direc-tional
control was outstanding, keeping the well within centimeters of the
plan. Dana Petroleum was able to drill and complete 100 m of the
Volpriehausen sandstone reservoir to drain the Van Ghent gas cap.
Horizontal sections were maintained within

The total contract value is in the range of 70 to 90 million.
Realization of the Albatros 1 project is expected in the year 2015.
Windkraft FIT will install their foundations and the XD115/5
MW wind turbine to be supplied by XEMC Darwind today ranks
amongst the first multi MW offshore dedicated Direct Drive
Permanent Magnet Generator Turbines.
Signing of the contract also signifies the first cooperation
between a Chinese owned turbine manufacturer located in Europe
and a well reputed European offshore wind park concession
holder.
Directors of both companies regard the contract as a first step
towards a future strategic partnership whereby such close
cooperation will lead to an important breakthrough in making
offshore wind energy more competitive compared to traditional ways
of generating electricity, whilst keeping design integrity and
quality at the highest possible levels.
XEMC Darwind is proud to announceOn February 28/2012, Windkraft
FIT GmbH, XEMC Darwind B.V. and XEMC Windpower Ltd. concluded a
Turbine Supply and Erection agreement with regard to the
construction and supply of 10 wind turbines of 5 MW each to be

While handing over the new plan, Paul Korting commented on the
new direction of ECN and its role in the complex world of a
sustainable energy system: Sustainable energy is vitally important
for the entire world. The world is changing fast and the demand for
innovative solutions and smart applications for a sustainable
society is urgent. ECN endorses the need for sustainable change and
is setting a new course accordingly. To realise a transition to a
sustainable energy system, ECN focuses on developing applied
knowledge and technology with and for the market. ECN used to be
regarded as an organisation that worked exclusively for the
government, but these days are over. ECN wants to take a leading
role in bringing together and joining the so-called golden triad:
trade and industry, government and other knowledge institutes, both
on a national and global level. ECN's
new course of
action ts in well with central government innovation policies.
We are working together to put the Netherlands among the top-5
knowledge based economies in the world. Collaboration is the only
way forward.
Mark Dierikx agrees and responds positively: "Wonderful to see
how ECN is embarking on a new course! My rst association with ECN
was that of a James Bond-like environment where 'secret technology
such as torrefaction is developed. But once you get to see the
inside, it becomes clear that ECN develops important technologies.
Not just for the Netherlands, but also for the rest of the world.
With this new course ECN will work together with the market even
more."
New direction ECN: with and for the market
Mark Dierikx (EL&I), Pedro Sayers (ECN), Robert Kleiburg
(ECN), Paul Korting (ECN)
The complete Board of Directors presented ECNs new strategy plan
2012-2015 to Mark Dierikx, Director General for Energy, Telecom and
Competition of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and
Innovation (EL&I).

T.O.S. (Transport & Offshore Services) and the German towing
company Hans Schramm & Sohn Schleppschifffahrt have signed a
contract for the ship delivery and total crewing of the NavTug
FlatTop Torsten. In the beginning of this month Mr Torsten
Andritter-Witt (Managing Director) and Mr. Kees Wagenaar (Managing
Director T.O.S.) signed the total crewing contract.
The rst contact between the towing company from the Schramm
Group and T.O.S. was made during Tugnology11 in Antwerp. Besides
the ship delivery of the Torsten the crewing was a topic of
conversation. The vessel is the towing companys own design and
offers 24/7 accommodation for a crew of up to 6 people. From the
beginning T.O.S. has shown its value with nautical and legal advice
for the
personnel services. thus Rolf Kievits, Commercial Manager T.O.S.
A T.O.S. delegation consisting of
Marlena Holdermans (Executive Manager Finance, Quality &
Law), Marleen Stuurman (Executive Manager Operations) and Rolf
Kievits (Commercial
Manager) visited the festive christening of the Torsten in
Turkey on Saturday, February the 18th. With this ceremony the
maiden-trip of this NavTug
FlatTop is coming near. Within two weeks the Torsten will depart
for Brunsbttel in Northern Germany. From here the vessel will be
used in several offshore wind projects in European waters.
T.O.S. employs worldwide professionals in the wind energy
sector. T.O.S. professionals are working at projects and on vessels
active in survey, foundation, turbine & substation to
maintenance. With the total crewing of the Torsten T.O.S. sets an
important step in this sector again. thus Rolf Kievits.
Shipyard Sanmar in Turkey is a well-known place for the
departure of T.O.S. ship deliveries. Last week, the nal vessel of
four departed for the company Seaspan from Canada. The Seaspan
Kestrel departed for a voyage of two months to its nal destination
Vancouver.
Siemens Energy has received an order for a steam turbine
generator to be used in a waste-to-energy plant equipped with
combined power and heat generation in Plymouth, England. The
customer is Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, a leading
provider of technical building services equipment, based in Planegg
near Munich. As the general contractor for the Water-Steam-Cycle,
Imtech will construct the plant for the Mannheim-based EfW
specialist MVV Umwelt. Once commissioned in 2014, the power plant
with an electrical capacity of up to 25 megawatts (MW) is designed
to cover the heat demand of Plymouths Naval Base, cost-effectively
and with low CO2 emissions.
The waste-to-energy plant in Plymouth is expected to
use 245,000 metric tonnes of household, business, and industrial
waste to generate electricity and heat by means of combined heat
and power generation to ensure a reliable heat supply for Plymouths
Naval Base. Construction of the power plant, with an installed
electrical capacity of 25 MW and a maximum process steam extraction
of up to 30 tonnes per hour, is scheduled to begin in the spring of
2012, with commissioning scheduled for 2014. Siemens is responsible
for the delivery, installation, and commissioning of the SST-400
steam turbine, including gearboxes and oil system as well as the
electrical generator and auxiliary systems.
The steam generator installed in the plant produces steam that
drives the turbine to ultimately
produce electricity. The plant is being built adjacent to the
Naval Base in Plymouth in south west England. It will provide the
base with a reliable and economical heat supply. Additionally, most
of the electrical energy produced will be used at the Naval
Base.
The British Defense Ministrys Devonport Naval Base, located on
the west side of the city, is the biggest naval port in Western
Europe and also Plymouths biggest employer. The SST-400 is one of
our most versatile industrial steam turbines, said Markus Tacke,
CEO of the Industrial Power Business Unit within Siemens Energy.
With an installed capacity of up to 25 MW, the exible steam turbine
has proven itself to be a cost-effective and environmentally
friendly solution in a wide variety of applications.
T.O.S. signs contract with German towing company
Siemens to deliver steam turbine generator for a waste-to-energy

Peterson SBS Chemicals introduceert ultieme tankcontainerAls

jaren registreerde adjunct-directeur Rob van Duivenvoorde alle
meldingen rond incidenten met transporttanks van diverse
leveranciers.

Ezequiel Najmias, Damen Sales Manager Zuid-Amerika, zegt: "We
sleepmarkt in elke Argentijnse haven.
gezonde groei
mogelijk is.
bemanning hier erg gelukkig mee waren," voegt Najmias toe.
Damen Customer FinanceDr Ruiz Moreno benadrukt: "Het hele proces
is boven verwachting goed gegaan."Een pakket reserve-onderdelen
toekomst.

We are proud to present the new
SeaWind suit which is tailored
specifically for the emerging offshore
windmill industry and rope access
technique workers.
Main goals in the design and
development process has been to meet
the requirements of the demanding
personnel performing the maintenance
and inspection work on the offshore wind
mills. In this process we have also seen
that many of the same requirements are
valid also for workers exposed to tough
and risky environments on offshore oil
installations.
In the process we have evaluated the
normal work procedures in close
cooperation with personnel engaged the
wind farm industry and rope access
technique workers. Good knowledge of
the actual work situation has put us in the
position to develop a construction with a
balanced combination of functionality
and safety.
Hansen Protection AS is the direct continuance of Helly Hansen
PRO AS. Our history dates back many years. Helly Juell Hansen
founded his original
"Impregnated clothing and tarpaulin factory" in Moss in 1877.
Thus the foundation for the development and core business of Hansen
Protection AS was
laid. Hansen Protection is a high-technology company that over
the years has developed some of the most advanced survival &
immersion suits available
for protecting lives - at or in the sea. More than 250 000 suits
have been exported to more than 20 countries throughout the
world.
NEWS!
Hansen Protection launch
It has been important for us
that the suit should be easy to
wear and thus be worn at all
times as a coverall to
improve efficiency and
convenience for the user.
Further on, the suit is
optimised to be worn
together with
necessary safety
equipment as seat-
and fall arrest-
harnesses. In line
with this direction, -
we are developing an
inflatable lifejacket
which may be integrated
with the harness without
preventing normal
movement patterns.
Hansen Protection put
emphasis on an attractive
design.
However design should
always be deflected from
the function.
Key features built into the SeaWind suit to
meet these requirements are:
Ergonomy pre-shaped construction
with 100% freedom of movement
Breathability durable fabrics
with highly breathable
properties from GoreTex
Lightweight made as a
shell product to reduce
weight
Ventilation waterproof pit-zips
(underarm-zips) to enhance
ventilation in controlled situations
Waterproof zip in collar for easy
donning
Pockets roomy pockets
constructed with mesh to
enhance the breathable
properties of the fabric and
placed where they are of no hindrance
to normal movement
Gloves and hood in neoprene, lifting
becket and pen-pocket
For easy integration with safety
equipment as harnesses and SeaLion
lifejackets, the suit is clean on both
chest and back
The suit fulfils the requirements of the
IMO/Solas LSA code, as a 1 hour
immersion suit without internal
buoyancy, and as a Constant wear suit
according to ISO 15027-1 (Class D)
The SeaWind suit is the first generation of
new work suits from Hansen Protection
and serves as a basis for the next models
under development. In the pipeline we
have a SeaWork model made in a heavy
duty oxford/nylon with integrated hard-
toe boots and with the possibility to
integrate an inner lining with insulation
and buoyancy.hansenprotection.no

Industry responds to buoyancy with innovative measures designed
to tackle the skills shortage
20 February 2012: Despite the economic downturn being
experienced globally, 2012 is set to be an exciting year for
companies operating in the oil and gas industry. There is a real
sense of optimism, with renewed confi dence around the world.
Surging demand for oil and natural gas means that commodity
values continue to remain high, despite political tensions in key
regions, increasingly demanding exploratory environments and the
resultant impact of rising costs on operators. Regardless of these
factors, the industry is nothing short of vibrant.
This buoyancy is re ected in the jobs market too, according to
the latest joint report from OilCareers.com, the international jobs
board for the oil and gas industry, and partner Air Energi, a
global provider of manpower solutions to the energy sector.
The Global Oil & Gas Workforce Survey: Expectations for
hires
and pay rates in the oil and gas industry (H1) 2012, suggests
that the real challenge this year will be in preparing for the
future, ensuring the continued ow of adequately skilled
professionals.
While the great crew change remains high on the agenda, there
are signs that the industry is beginning to take its role more
seriously by making attempts to combat the issue. Solutions are
innovative and wide-ranging; from internships and virtual
mentorship, to supplementary offsite education programmes and more
exible government allowances towards working retirees.
Activity levels across Africa, the Americas, Asia Paci c,
Australasia,
Caspian, Europe and the Middle East will remain high, with the
expectation for both contract and salaried pay rates to increase as
a result across a number of these regions.
For the UK, 2012 was met with welcome news, as 46 new production
licences were handed our during the countrys most recent licensing
round. This is evidence of a revival in domestic activity, and will
ward off pressure from other countries, Australia in
particular.
Permanent staff are increasingly being given preference over
contractors. They come with less ight risk, slightly lower rates
and can easily be mobilised within
organisations, either in terms of succession planning or to
other postings abroad. However, as project development activity
ramps up over the next 12 months, favourability could return to
contractor positions.
Fabrication, operations and production personnel are amongst the
highest in demand, but given the increasingly technical nature of
offshore exploration in the UKCS, professional sciences and
engineering credentials are also highly valuable and proving dif
cult to nd.
Scandinavia too, is enjoying renewed success, with the focus
switching from maximising existing reserves to new discoveries.
Three major nds by Statoil, as well as a historically large
licensing round, have reaf rmed the regions position as a leader in
the industry.
Mainland Europe paints a slightly different picture. A few
cautious approaches to staf ng have been observed, with a slight
preference towards contractors. This will allow companies to be
more exible, enabling them to make rapid adjustments to headcount
as required, in response to some continued uncertainty around the
economy.
Mark Guest, managing director of OilCareers.com, said: Despite
all the challenges, I believe our
industry remains fundamentally attractive. Energy demand
continues to grow and oil and gas look set to remain important
parts of the energy mix for the foreseeable future, with many of
the worlds largest nds being discovered, creating new energy
hubs.
A number of companies are developing unparalleled project queues
this year, with such investments impacting positively on the
employment market. Were seeing examples of this through increased
hiring globally and, with plenty of opportunities on the table its
an exciting time to be involved in the energy sector.
Ian Langley, group executive chairman of Air Energi, added: The
Air Energi-OilCareers.com survey provides an indication of the
trends that the industry can expect to see across the remainder of
the year.
With increased exploration activity across all regions, a lack
of suitably quali ed labour will continue to remain a concern. Many
companies, however, are now giving the long-standing skills gap
their full attention, ensuring they have the capability to maximise
the abundant opportunities on offer worldwide.
Aker Solutions, of Norway, has ordered high-voltage subsea
connectors for the subsea gas compression system the company is
developing for Statoil at the sgard eld, which is located 124 miles
offshore of Norway, in the Halten bank of the Norwegian Sea.The
sgard project is a highly signi cant win for Expro as not only is
it Expro Connectors & Measurements single largest power
connector order to date, but also on a project which is to supply
the worlds rst subsea gas compression (SSGC) system, which will be
released in 2014.Expro Connectors & Measurements will be
supplying the high-voltage SpecTRON 5 and SpecTRON 10 systems which
will provide power to the subsea pump systems of the sgard SSGC
project. Work is well under way on the project in
the technical department of the Subsea Excellence Centre, in
Ulverston, to meet the sgard SSGC requirements.
Mike Friars, SpecTRON product manager, said: The award of the
sgard SSGC contract is a fantastic achievement and is testament to
the hard work and commitment of everyone at Expro Connectors &
Measurements. To be selected to supply our products on this
prestigious and ground-breaking project again acknowledges our
expertise and reputation as a market leader in the supply of
high-voltage subsea connector systems.
Expro Connectors & Measurements are recognised as a world
leader in its eld; providing subsea connectors for global oil and
gas projects spanning more than 30 years.
Largest single power connevtor order for subsea leader Expro
Expro has been awarded its single biggest power connector order
to date with a contract worth in the region of 7.3million.

Aitingen/Schwabmnchen. Wintershall is continuing to invest in
domestic oil production: between November 2011 and January 2012 the
company sunk the new wells Aitingen Sd 2, Schwabmnchen 7 and
Aitingen Nord-Ost 1 in the Alpine foothills south of Augsburg. All
three wells struck oil. The crude oil from Aitingen Sd 2 and
Schwabmnchen 7 will ow via steel pipeline to the operations in
Aitingen from May 2012, where it will be treated and then
transported to the re nery in Lingen. The exploration well Aitingen
Nord-Ost 1 will rst undergo a test in April to provide information
on the possible production volumes. The wholly owned BASF
subsidiary Wintershall has invested around 7.5 million euros in the
wells. The new wells aim to increase the previous annual production
volumes and secure production for the next 20 years, Rainer Ihl,
Manager of Wintershalls production site in Aitingen, explained. The
company has been operating the production region south of Augsburg
since 1979. In 2011 around 30,000 tons of crude oil were produced
in Ait-ingen
and Schwabmnchen. The new discoveries bring the total number of
production wells by Wintershall in the Alpine foothills to ten.
In its exploration for further crude oil deposits in the Alpine
foothills, Wintershall is now using an innovative process that can
make the search for hydrocarbons faster and much more cost-ef
cient. Ex-perts plan to measure electromagnetic elds in a prede ned
area from a helicopter using measuring antennas attached to the
helicopter skids. The experts expect to nd electromagnetic elds in
a certain frequency range in places where hydrocarbons are
con-tained in the ground. This is because under the in uence of
natural ground vibrations the mixture of hydrocarbons and the
water-salt-mix contained in the ground beneath the surface
generates a characteristic vibration pattern, which creates special
electromagnetic elds and which can be measured. The process does
not involve any intervention in the natural surroundings. The
experts are merely measuring elds that
already exist.
We are not able to determine with certainty whether hydrocarbons
exist in the grounds structures with the seismic methods previously
applied; we can only make assumptions, Marcel Eckard, geophysi-cist
at Wintershall, explains. But the new method could possibly prove
the existence of hydrocarbons in the subterranean structures more
directly. In the end wells are always required to determine whether
crude oil or natural gas does actually exist.
The ights over the Alpine foothills are planned for a few days
from 29 February up to and including 5 March. An area covering 93
square kilometers including Groaitingen, Kleinaitingen, Graben and
parts of Wehringen will be surveyed. The helicopter will y lines in
a north-south direction at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometers per hour
and with a gap of 100 meters. The ying altitude will be 25 to 50
meters. In built-up areas the altitude will increase 150 to 300
meters. All ights will be made in daylight only.
Wintershall increases oil production in Aitingen
Growing optimism and challenging frontiers make exeptional
talent a valuable commodity
