KORUS has been providing offshore collaborative engineering services seamlessly to its clients based out in the USA for a number of clients for more than two years. These services included assistance in design and preparation of drawings for ADA Ramps conforming to the PENNDOT Design and Drawing Standards. The work on these ramps also included preparation of Layout Plans of existing intersections based on GPS survey data received in digital form. We have already delivered construction drawings of more than 200 Ramps covering over 50 intersections. In addition to ADA Ramps we also prepared pre construction survey drawings of West Trenton Track Project, Septa Line No.3 covering a stretch of 5km. KORUS is currently providing services for a Bridge Project in USA for the preparation of rebar shop drawings of 180 bridges having pre-stressed box beams superstructure and cast in place Cantilever and Integral Abutments supported on piles. Some of the project sites also included precast box culverts for which these services are being provided. The coverage of KORUS consultancy also extends across various regions such as South and Southeast Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa including countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Ghana, Angola, Nigeria, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, Indonesia, Georgia (erstwhile part of USSR) and Brazil. KORUS is also registered with multilateral funding agency Asian Development Bank With the growing need of diverse nature of projects and client requirements, KORUS has been continuously enhancing its Computer Software and Hardware capabilities to keep pace with the developments. The company has been extensively using STAAD.PRO, 3D Civil, AUTOCAD, Tekla, Inventor and aSa for projects undertaken by us. Due to our working on numerous overseas projects some of our technical staff is well versed in the use of ANSI-360 and ACI-318. Initially one of the major challenges in offshore engineering services on above projects has been of ensuring efficient and effective co-ordination with the clients overcoming the geographical time difference between India and the USA for delivering the project outputs according to the schedule. KORUS is successfully managing this challenge by aligning the office working hours with those of the USA and also through the extensive use of Audio-Video conferences with the clients. As part of collaborative services KORUS can also depute its staff to client place for short durations if required to assist in the preparation of project outputs in case of any urgency and augmentation of its project team or even for acquiring knowledge on local standards to be followed on the assigned component of the work.
