Ashley Reid
Ashley entered the dog world in 1976 showing Old English Sheepdogs and Collies. Since this time his main
focus has been Tibetan Terriers and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, (all four colors), winning multiple Best in
Shows and breeding many champions and a grand champion under the "Aryed" prefix. The top winning Tibetan
Terrier of all time and breed record holder for BIS in Australasia is owner bred handled by Ashley, and he has
also owned the top winning TT in Australia for the last ten years. He breeds Miniature Pinschers in partnership
with Helene McMahon under the "Khanrae" prefix. Champions carrying this prefix number in excess of 50
including many All Breed and Specialty Best In Show winners. Once again both Australia and New Zealand's
Top Winning Min Pins carry the Khanrae prefix. Ashley has owned and campaigned many other breeds. Some
highlights include campaigning a Welsh Corgi Pembroke to top Corgi in Australia, winning among many Best
in Show awards, Best Exhibit in Show at the Adelaide Royal show under breed specialist Virginia Lynne from
Canada. He has also piloted many Shar Pei to their championship titles winning Best in Shows along the way.
Ashley handled the first Black Smooth Griffon Bruxellois in the Southern Hemisphere to gain a championship
title. Last year saw the introduction of a Pekingese to the kennel who became Victoria's top Toy winning
multiple BIS. Many other breeds have been campaigned with success. He has judged in Victoria, Queensland,
South Australia, A.C.T., Tasmania, and Western Australia. Overseas appointments include multiple
assignments in South Africa and New Zealand. In 2008 he is judging Tibetan Terriers in conjunction with the
World Dog Show circuit in Sweden. Specialist appointments include Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, (Australia
and New Zealand), Miniature Pinscher, Griffon Bruxellois, Chow Chow, French Bulldog and Toy Poodle
championship shows. Ashley is licensed to judge the Toy, Gundog, Hound, Working Dog and Non Sporting
Groups at Championship level. He also judges the Gundog, and Utility groups & Best In Show at Open show
level
Jacqui Weekes
Jacqui grew up in the dog world. Her family has always been involved in dogs. Her mother breeds 'Grauhund'
Weimaraners, which she has had for 35+ yrs and her sister breeds 'Pampard' Dalmatians. Jacqui has bred and
shown Irish Setters for approx 17 yrs with the most significant win being Best in Group at Melbourne Royal
Show in 1990. For the past 14 years she has shown and bred CKCS under the 'Melloway' affix, winning many
Breed Specialty shows, the latest being the CKCS Club of NSW Specialty held on Easter Sunday, 2008. She
has also won many All Breeds Best in Shows and had the No. 1 and No. 2 Top Toy dogs in Australia in 2007,
and currently has the No. 1 CKCS in Australia. She has also had many significant wins at Royal shows
throughout Australia, the most recent being BOB and Group 2nd at Sydney Royal Easter Show 2008. She is
proud to say the Melloway Kennel has bred the most Grand Champion CKCS in Australia, 9 in total, and has
also made up two imported dogs to their Grand Championship, a record she is very proud of. Jacqui has judged
CKCS, Gundog and Toy Specialty shows in Australia and overseas. She is currently training for her Utility and
Terrier Group licences, and is qualified to judge Best in Show All Breeds at Open Show level.
Lyn Brand
My first interest in purebred dogs commenced in 1969 when with my mother breeding Labrador Retriever under the
Hemarly prefix, competing in Conformation and Obedience and Non Slip Retrieving Trials.
In the late 1970’s my breed involvement still was with Labradors and with my husband I took another interest in the
German Shepherd Dog, successfully showing and Obedience work with several top quality home bred litters under the
