Graviola Shows Promise in CancerCures and Arthritis

The first modern-day research on Graviola wasconducted in 1976 by the National Cancer Institute,

though the plant has been under investigation sincethe 1940s. Their findings reported that the leaves ofthe Graviola plant were effective in destroyingmalignant cancer cells . Tests at Perdue University oncancer cells of prostate, pancreas and lungs have allshown results. A Korean study found that Graviola killed coloncancer cells better than a chemotherapy drug

called Adriamycin. Graviola results were tenthousand times stronger than the chemotherapy. And, unlike chemotherapy drugs, Graviola did notdamage any cells except the carcinogenic cells.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) receives over twobillion dollars annually in federal funds. They tested over20,000 different plants and found that the leaves of thegraviola tree, that grows in the Amazon rainforest, can kill

cancer cells. In other words, it is a great cancer cure.

They sent this information to the drug companies. A drugcompany spent millions of dollars testing graviola andfound it to be the "magic bullet." That is something thatwould kill only cancer cells, but not the healthy cells. Inother words, the drug company determined that graviolais the best cure for cancer.

This drug company was unable to replicate the 2 activechemicals. Were these undiscovered vitamins orminerals? No, they are phytochemicals calledannonaceous acetogenins. Chemicals can be patented sothat no one else can sell them, but herbs that exist innature cannot be patented. So no one is going to spend

millions of dollars to do the studies to get FDA approvalto claim that graviola cures cancer.

Dr. Alan Levin , Professor of Immunology, University of California

Medical School, 1987 says "Most cancer patients in this countrydie of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy does not eliminate breast,colon or lung cancers. The fact has been documented for over adecade.... Women with breast cancer are likely to die faster withchemotherapy than without it.

Only 2 to 3 percent of the nearly one-half million Americansdiagnosed of cancer every year are being saved bychemotherapy , according to Dr. John Cairns of the HarvardUniversity School of Public Health. Dr. Levin , at a nationalconference on medical abuses, said: Practicing physicians are

Graviola is a small, upright evergreen tree, 5 6 m high, with

large, glossy, dark green leaves. It produces a large, heart-shaped, edible fruit that is 15 20 cmin diameter, is yellow-green in color,and has white flesh inside. Graviola

Tribal & Herbal Medicine Uses

Graviola selectively kills colon cancer cells at "10,000times the potency of Adriamycin." That is a veryeffective chemotherapy drug. Graviola is extremelyeffective in isolating and killing lung cancer cells.

According to one study conducted at Catholic Universityof South Korea, scientists discovered that twochemicals extracted from graviola seeds targeted andkilled malignant breast and colon cells in a test tube.In at least 20 laboratory tests since the 1970s, graviolahas been proven to hunt down and kill cancer cells inthe prostate, lung, breast, colon and pancreas. Purdueresearchers found that leaves from the graviola tree killscancer cells "among six human-cell lines" and areespecially effective against prostate and pancreaticcancer cells.
