The Lagos ConsumerPrice Index in respectof theLower Income Group is an official index based onthe expenditure . patterns of Clerks, Artisans andLabourers, earning not more than £400 per annumin 1960.

2. This index used to be based on the expenditurepatterns of Clerks, Artisans and Labourers earningnot more than £350 per-annum in 1953 but has beenrevised. The average values of the index for thetwelve months November 1963 to October 1964 areas follows :— .
