Message from our Exalted Ruler Spring is finally here! Seems like we had a long wintrer and hopefully it keeps warming up and no more SNOW. We had a great April at the Lodge with the food ngihts and Bacon Bash bringing in a lot of people we haven’t seen in awhile. Bacon Bash had a great turn out with 28 entries with First place going to Linda Pendegraft with her bacon ice cream. Second place was Kyle Krantz with his Pig Shots. Third place was Jon Thompson with pork burnt ends and Jon also got most creative with jalapeno bacon deviled eggs. We had a three way tie for the best dressed contest with Three Little Pigs, Kim Mullin, Carey Lynam, and Kenda Linderman. It was a lot of fun and thank you to all who entered and came up and ate. This will now be an annual event so make sure to watch for next years date. We have some great events planned in May as well as Fridays After 5 start on the 28th. The 28th will be Elks Night so come on up and support the Lodge and all of the projects we have going on this year. On the 5th we are having a Scouts appreciation cookout at 6pm. This is open to any Scouts and is free of charge. On the 8th we are kicking it back to the 1970s with a 70s night starting at 6pm. We will have food specials, $1 beers, trivia and also a best dressed 70s attire conteest and also a best dressed 70s band member contest. Be sure to also bring your favorite vinyl to play. On the 9th we will have a Mothers Day breakfast buffet with Bloody Marys and Mimosas from 8:30-11:30. On the 23rd we will have a Cars and Coffee event from 9am-Noon. Bring your classic car up and enjoy some coffee and donuts. We are still looking for a part time bartender so if you know someone that would be intertsted have them contact Sam Krantz, Eric Shawler or myself. There are still a few nights open for bartending outside for Friday after 5, let me know if interested! Watch for our many outdoor improvements to the East Lawn! Hope to see you at the Lodge Soon! Ron Higgins, Exalted Ruler
