King Street Room 202 Honolulu, HI 96813 Phone: (808) 768-5007 Email: [email protected]Website: www.councilmembermanahan.com Bill 43 (2020) ESTABLISHING AN EMERGENCY VISITOR PRE-SCREENING PROGRAM COVID-19 Household Hardship Relief Fund (HHRF) Program On Monday, May 18, 2020 the City and County of Honolulu launched the COVID-19 Household Hardship Relief Fund (HHRF) Program to help the most economically impacted by using mon- ey from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The City and County of Honolulu and non-profit partners Aloha United Way and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement are working directly with individuals and families facing eco- nomic hardship. The COVID-19 HHRF program will provide funding support to qualified Oahu residents in amounts up to $1,000 per month for qualified household expenses and up to an additional $500 per month for qualified childcare expenses. Each household may receive benefits up to 6 months, with each month demonstrating ongoing hardship. To qualify for the pro- gram, applicants must demonstrate economic hardship or business closure related to the COVID-19 with proper documentation accompanying an ap- plication. Qualified expenses will be paid directly to the vendor on behalf of the applicant.
