The Cardiff Commercial Property Forum was set up in 2004 as a collective voice for the property sector in the region, acknowledging the importance of the capital city as a driver of economic prosperity and investment, not only for the region but for Wales as a whole. The Forum is always looking for new ways to promote Cardiff, both inside and outside Wales, which continues to be the key objective. The Forum has also held corporate events at the Dorchester Hotel in London in recent years promoting Cardiff to a London based audience of over 400 occupiers and investors. The CCPF was actively involved in two events during 2008/9 in The Cardiff Debate and The People in Property Awards. It was the Forum’s third Cardiff Debate, hosted during a difficult economic time for the property sector that proved to be a great success delivering a vigorous debate to over 190 guests. The panel members were made up of a banker, commercial property developer, transport officer, consulting engineer and local council member each bringing a different insight to some of the most topical and important issues facing the property market in Cardiff today. Cardiff has experienced major transformation over recent years, emerging as an exciting, vibrant and attractive European capital city. The city has clear ambitions to sustain this momentum and to propel itself forward as a premier league European capital over the next two decades. Cardiff & Co has been created to help Cardiff realise this vision, by bringing together local stakeholders and the private sector into a single collaborative agenda to market and promote the city to a national and international audience. The company represents a new approach for the city, a new model of service delivery, based on strong partnership working and funded through a variety of public and private sector sources and commercially generated income. The company aims to help Cardiff become a top five UK shopping destination and a top 10 UK short break destination. It aims to help the city improve its position in the top 10 of UK conference cities, grow its reputation as a top 10 UK university city, and importantly, re-position the city and Wales as a high quality and competitive inward investment location. www.investincardiff.com Callaghan Square St David’s 2 Capital Link The New Library Helmont House Millennium Stadium Atradius 3 Assembly Square Key Contacts: Forum Members Alder King Sian Cornwell +44 (0) 2920 381 995 BNP Paribas Mark Sutton +44 (0) 2920 640 111 Burnett Davies Adele Paterson +44 (0) 2920 621 162 Calan Retail Nick Carter +44 (0) 2920 373 933 Cardiff Council Roy Edwards +44 (0) 2920 873 387 Cardiff & Co Carys Pugh D’Auria +44 (0) 2920 872 906 Cooke & Arkwright Roger Thomas (Chairman) +44 (0) 2920 346 346 DTZ Alex Easton +44 (0) 2920 262 256 E J Hales Simon Watson-James +44 (0) 2920 378 844 Emanuel Jones David Williams +44 (0) 2920 811 581 Fletcher Morgan John James +44 (0) 2920 378 921 Gerald Eve Richard Gatehouse +44 (0) 2920 388 044 GVA Grimley Steve Gibbon +44 (0) 2920 248 907 King Sturge Huw Thomas +44 (0) 2920 227 666 Knight Frank Rhydian Morris +44 (0) 2920 492492 Lambert Smith Hampton Steve Matheson +44 (0) 2920 490 499 Merlin Bruce Morris +44 (0) 2920 304 050 Michael Graham Young Mark Iles +44 (0) 2920 465 466 Savills Gary Carver +44 (0) 2920 368 963 Stephenson & Alexander Peter Graham +44 (0) 2920 340 244 Major Deals Commission for Equality and Human Rights 3 Callaghan Square 7,500 sq ft British Transport Police 3 Callaghan Square 14,000 sq ft Centrica 4 Callaghan Square 68,000 sq ft Deloitte 5 Callaghan Square 19,000 sq ft B3 Architects 5 Callaghan Square 4,500 sq ft New Law Helmont House 24,000 sq ft British Council 1 Kingsway 5,000 sq ft Cardiff University 2-4 Park Grove 15,000 sq ft Cardiff University 1 Museum Place 11,000 sq ft HID Greenmeadow Springs 7,500 sq ft Freshwater Cardiff Gate 8,000 sq ft Opus International Fountain Court, St Mellons 7,500 sq ft NSPCC Ocean Park 15,000 sq ft NFU Celtic Gateway 12,500 sq ft Arts Council for Wales Wales Millennium Centre 10,500 sq ft 10 Reasons to choose Cardiff 1.
