Object Si/No: The architecture of Urban-Think Tank, ETH Zürich, Zurich, Switzerland Concept Chair of Architecture and Urban Design, ETH Zürich, Prof. Alfredo Brillembourg and Prof. Hubert Klumpner STARTING POINT Alfredo Brillembourg and Hubert Klumpner have been heading the Chair for Architecture and Urban Design at ETH Zürich since 2010. The exhibition is a retrospective of the Chair's "Urban Think Tank" work. It showcases twenty samples, representative of diverse research approaches, analyses and development studies about informal types of settlements around the world, together with provocative questions and completed buildings. SOLUTION The exhibition is designed as a colourful dwelling. Visitors can observe plans, drawings, graffiti, and photos on the camp's fabric walls. The organisers wanted a portable, high quality exhibition that was easy to put up and pull down. The fabric walls are made of a variety of Création Baumann staples. Digital Dense Panama has been used for digitally printed internal partitions while Sport was chosen for the "lofts" (that is, the outer fabric panels) and the central guidance system. 1 www.creationbaumann.com
