Senate Finance Committeein 1892 and agent forthe United States Industrial Commission to reporton railroad labor 1899-1900* Ee became professor of sociology at theUniversity of Pennsylvania (1896-1907) and Professor of Social Legisla-tion at Columbia (1907-1939). Among his other activities were NationalChild Labor Committee (Chairman) , American Academy of Political andSocial Science (President), American Economic Association (President),Association for Labor Legislation, I. Among the subjects covered are
