Total isolation solenoid valves (DRY) combinethe traditional valve characteristics of strengthand reliability with construction materials thatmake them particularly suitable for the controlof aggressive and/or non-contaminable fluids.
The fluid is in contact only with the valve body andthe isolation lever or isolation diaphragm; in thisway the fluid is protected from any chemicalcontamination and/or thermic shock.
Produced in 2/2 or 3/2 normally closed, open oruniversal versions plus miniaturised, silent versionsand with a latching actuator.
The numerous versions available, the variety ofmaterials employed and the possibility ofproducing special versions make this range ofsolenoid valves particularly versatile, suitable forapplications in the food, biotechnology,chemical/pharmaceutical andphysiological/medical sectors.

Customising pushbuttons or controlstations with symbols is a great way toimprove your machine making operationfor your customers even easier andsafer.
Of course we can use text as well but it isoften easier to understand what is meantusing symbols. This is especially importantif you export your machines all over theworld as symbols can be readinternationally regardless of language.
Together with Baco, we can offercompetitive, customised solutions to yourexact specification. There is effectively nominimum order quantity and initial samplescan usually be produced very quickly. In addition to special markings we can ofcourse offer all the standard texts andsymbols according to the various ISO andDIN standards.
Control stations can also be supplied innon standard colours, custom marked, fitted with glands, pre cabled and fitted outto your specification including allpushbuttons, contacts and LED’s. Simplyprovide us with details of your requirementincluding suitable files of any specialsymbols needed and we will do the rest.

Unique solid staterelays offer trouble free long lifetime
OEM INSIDE AUTOMATION 2011-3 WWW.OEM.CO.UK 7
Problems with interference
Power cables installed adjacent to signal cables, especially overlong cable runs, create a capacitive effect that can cause relays toswitch on or stay on after the control signal switches off. Transientsin the power supply can cause damage to relays and interferencefrom frequency inverters can provide false on/off switching.
SolutionDelcon relays have built-in capacitive suppression to allow safe, reliable operation even with very long cable runs. An RC circuitprotects the relays from transients and high frequency interference.
Problems with signaling
Electrical disturbances can cause the LED indicator of relays to glow when the relay is switched off and no input signal is present. This makes it difficult to quicklydiagnose faults and rectify problems.
SolutionThe Delcon relay LED is synchronized with the output so it isimpossible for it to glow without being on. The relays have goodhysteresis with clearly defined on/off points for reliable operation inhigh noise environments.
Problems with inductive loads
Contactors and solenoid valves are commonly used throughoutindustry; there are also problematic inductive loads forelectromechanical relays to handle where contacts can weld andlifetime is reduced.
SolutionDelcon ac output relays are rated at 3A and can switch inductiveloads without any derating. Delcon dc output relays have noderating up to 24Vdc and thereafter still offer significantly lessderating compared to electro-mechanical relays.
Problems with high DC voltage
Electro-mechanical relay contacts are significantly derated at higherdc voltages and usually require special versions that are physicallybigger and take up more space.
SolutionDelcon dc output relay types CRA & CRA4 can switch up to300Vdc without any derating compared to electro-mechanicalrelays and in a smaller package.
Changing relays is a costly business!Compared to the total system cost a relay is a relatively inexpensivecomponent but a relay that fails in a system runs the risk ofbecoming the most expensive component. Choosing a relay with ashorter life span than the entire system will probably result in costlyunwanted system downtime!
Choosing Delcon relays for your system will improve your long termprofitability. The cost of system downtime differs depending on thetype of industry but is usually very expensive. If we consider onlythe cost of trouble shooting and replacing a faulty relay for the firsttime then the initial cost of choosing Delcon is already covered.

Delcon produce specialised solid state interface relays that utilise pulse transformertechnology which gives some unique advantages over traditional electro-mechanicaland opto-coupler based solid state relays. These features help ensure a long lifetimeand trouble free performance in harsh industrial applications where difficult loads, noise andinterference can cause big problems. Please read on for more detail about these uniquerelays and how they can save you money in the long-term.

From Honsberg, OEM Automatic cannow offer new options for the XF rangeof flow sensors whereas previously, thepressure and temperature capabilitieswere limited by the use of plastic parts.Honsberg has now improved theperformance significantly by using brassand stainless steel and the sensors cannow cope with pressures up to 100 barand temperatures to 130°C.
The measuring technique, based on aflexible stainless steel spring plate isunchanged. This measurement technologymeans no moving parts in contact with themedium, which provides severaladvantages in terms of longer life, very lowpressure drop and fast response times.
The flow sensor is available with analogoutput 4-20mA, 0-10 V, frequency or PNP /NPN. Should further output options or adisplay be required the XF can also becombined with other Honsbergmeasurement systems; Omni or Flex.

In many industrial applications signal interference immunity isoften achieved through the use of screened/shielded cables.Good termination of the cable screen to ground is essential butcan be problematic to achieve using standard terminals or lugs!
With this in mind Contaclip has developed a wide range of screenconnection clips that offer a neat, reliable clamping system while
maintaining a low resistance termination which is critical to keepnoise to a minimum.
Various mounting / connection options are available for cables upto 35mm2 and all provide a quick, easy, professional lookingsolution. A product specific brochure detailing the whole range isavailable upon request.
