Oem Agent Installation[1]

Login to the server where you would like to install the Oracle Enterprise Manager agent as the id that you would like to install the agent under. In your case, this is the oraoem user. Verify that the user belongs to the same Unix group as the id running the Oracle database or application software.

As the oraoem user Set the DISPLAY variable to enable the installation GUI to display to your screen:export DISPLAY=machine_ip_address:0.0Move to the directory where you have unzipped the installation binaries:cd /staging_directory/Disk1

Run the installer:./runInstaller

If you have trouble with prerequisites check failing, try running the installer this these options:./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs b_skipDBValidation=true use_prereq_checker=false

Select Additional Management Agent ONLY

Set Parent Directory to /apps/oem

Verify inventory directory is set to /apps/oem/oraInventorySet operating system group to be dba

Set Oracle Management Server location to:Host Name: psc1266.lexisnexis.comLeave port at 4889

Leave password blank

Now apply 10.2.0.5 patch Cd /apps/oem/software/3731593/Disk1./runInstallerUse Installer pulldown to select agent10g which adjusted path to be /apps/oem/agent10g

Leave blank and deselect wish to receive securty updates via My Oracle Support

Pre-check runs and all should says Succeeded
