NACEA (North-America Chinese Entrepreneur Association) is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization registered in the state of NJ which is open to all ethnic groups, although its members are mostly but not totally Chinese-Americans. The Association was founded by a group of professional entrepreneurs headed by May Li, Managing Partner of RimLife Technologies and a semi-finalist in the 2006 Win In China entrepreneur contest held by CCTV in China. The objective is to provide a platform where motivated entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs can learn about starting a business and doing business, share ideas and experiences, build confidence and strength, find business opportunities and partners between each other and join efforts so as to improve their chances of success in the business world. Another major goal of the Association is promoting entrepreneur opportunities in both the US and China and build bridges between the business world of the two countries.
The organization currently has hundreds of core members in its ranks, including experienced entrepreneurs, senior executives from large companies, innovative and entrepreneurial scientists and technologists from leading institutions, fund managers, investors, and other professionals. Most of the Board members and Executive Officers earned doctorate degrees in China or the US, have worked for large global organizations for many years, and come from a diverse array of sectors, including financial services, information technologies, telecommunications, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, solar and clean technologies, new materials, environmental protection, regeneration, recycling, hybrid battery automobile and other essential and innovative areas.
NACEA has been very active since its founding in late 2006. In the past 4 years, the organization has held numerous quality seminars, meetings and workshops to meet the increasing demand for entrepreneurship. Bigger events such as business plan pitching, entrepreneur opportunities and annual event attract hundreds of enthusiastic professionals and entrepreneurs from all sorts of background. Smaller seminars and meetings such as discussions of project feasibility, legal aspects of a sound business, guerilla and internet marketing, networking have been so popular that seat limits of 50-70 had to be regularly and strictly imposed.
To improve business opportunities for members, NACEA also organizes business trips to China, where the delegation meet with local officials as well as businesses to discuss business collaboration & opportunities. In this way, the organization has built a strong reputation with many local governments and other organizations in China, and has formed essential links that will be of mutual benefit to members going forward.
