PRESENTATION
The objective of this Case study is that the Students will able to understand how the Firm solved their problems through the OD approach.

•Due to facing these problems, the President of a company confer with an OD Consultant about ways to improve the situation.

SUMMARY CONT’D• The President and the Consultant agreed that certain organizational development efforts might be worthwhile.• They decided that a 3-day Workshop away from the usual routine with Executives and the entire work team, might be an appropriate way to start.

interviewing each member of the team.• The purpose of these interviews was to obtain the data around with to build the design of the Workshop.

these problem Themes in terms of importance immediacy and chose the problem areas to work on.•The Consultant was acting more as a Coach then a Moderator.

• The group examined both the underline dynamics of each problem area and optimal
solutions to the problems. By making suggestion for breaking
into subgroups.• The group member was supporting
and working together in order to make the Workshop successful.
SUMMARY CONT’D• During the 3-days, the participants
had time for recreation activities such as Jogging, Basketball Swimming etc.• The group also adjourned for a relaxed Dinner and Socializing.• It seemed to the Consultant that the group experienced a sense of team spirit.

Morale was up and Customer complains and Cost was beginning to go down.
But still have a Long way to go, including making Staff meetings more Effective.

• The 3-months review session with the consultant showed significant progress had been made on some action steps.• However, improvement seemed to be bogged down, particularly in areas requiring the president to delegate certain functions to key subordinates.

• During the following years, the Top Management make an annual 3-days “Problems-solving workshop” involving the consultant.• The consultant and the human
resource director began to work as a consultant team to the organization in which human resource director perform to role of “Change Agent” .

specialized seminar as budgeting and finance, group dynamics and long range planning.• H.R director performed many roles as OD consultant and as coordinator of the traditional H.R function.
• In a nutshell we can say that this Firm has conducted 3-day Workshop and 3months session by a OD Consultant to overcome their major problems.• This OD approach shows
significant progress for the development of the Firm.• Due to co-operative scheme,
Morale and Team spirit of the workforce has boost up.
