Aids Walk by Kate Hipolito

This year’s Aids Walk was truly memorable, mostly because it was my last year as a Senior. The excitement and enthusiasm coming from the new members reminded me of the reason why I joined

Key Club in the first place. As a dedicated member I have attended every Aids Walk ever since 9th grade, and each year the race feels shorter and shorter. It was fun walking with friends,

and letting the time passed without even knowing it. Throughout the years, I’ve learned that Aids Walk is not only about walking 6

miles and earning hours, but when you look around and see different people each walking for a purpose, it really is an

inspiration. This inspired me and I hope it inspires every future Key Club members too.

Megan Nguyen – Member of the Month

Megan Nguyen shows her wolf spirit and commitment every Friday as she attends Hope

Dinner. Active in many other major events such as Aids Walk and Music Festival, Megan’s attendance at the smaller events help make a difference in the small community of Eagle

Rock.

Mark Ubongen – Officer of the Month

Although Mark originally came from Nevada, his Key Club spirit followed him throughout his move as he assimilated into the California Division 3 South Wolves Key Club. As District Editor, his attendance at events makes everything more fun for other keyclubbers. His warm and bubbly personality allows people to see the fun side of Key Club, and encourages other members to participate and attend as many events as possible.
