Editor’s Ramblings…..
Village Show 2018.
Despite the lousy weather (and after such a good summer) the Show was still well supported but visitors didn’t stop as long as they would have done if conditions had been better. Many thanks to all the helpers who prepared the site and cleared up afterwards, to the musical performers, stall holders and sponsors and to Chris Byrne who masterminded proceedings. A generous donation is to be made to the SPLIT charity.
Long Whatton Book Club.
I have been contacted by a number of people wanting to start a Book Club and am therefore hoping to have an initial get-together within the next few weeks. So far there are half a dozen vil-lagers interested but if there’s anyone else I’ve been unable to contact or would like to meet up then please let me know as soon as…….
