THE 350 BANQUET NEEDS
The 350 Banquet is just around the corner and we need your cooking skills. Last year we had an incredible response when we asked for your help. This year we need desserts to feed 450-500 people and 3-5 4-Hers and parents to help cut and serve these desserts. Desserts can be pies, cakes and brownies. If you are willing
to help, call Hannah Craig at 817-453 4204 by October 10th.
Starting a new 4-H year is one of the most exciting times. We will be quickly
brought into the rush, excitement, and also new challenges. Through this

4-H and FFA Photography Contest Website: http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/ffa4hphoto The Texas State Preservation Board in partnership with the Texas 4-H Youth Development Pro-gram are pleased to present an annual photography contest for members of the Texas 4-H and FFA Programs. This photography contest allows 4-H and FFA members to showcase Texas Agri-culture through photos. A select number of the photographs will be displayed in the Texas State Capitol Agriculture Museum starting in January 2015 before the opening of the Legislative Session. Selected pho-tographs will feature a place card with the photographer's name, city, and age. Photos will remain on display for one year in the Agriculture Museum. Entry Period: September 19, 2014 to December 10, 2014
2015 Texas 4-H Photography Contest Website: http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/statephotography Theme: The theme is "Inspiration". This year the theme will focus on pictures of subjects that move and inspire YOU. Photos can include photos of leaders, mentors, family, friends, things in your community, school, church, or across the country and world. Examples include images of family members, a leader/teacher or someone that you look up to, something in nature, or things that give you daily inspiration. Changes: Due to past issues with photographs not be sized or formatted correctly, the con-test now has a size criteria. All photos must be 8x10 in size. Photos should be at least 800 pixels by 1000 pixels. The ideal 8×10 quality is 2400 pixels by 3000 pixels, which is the same as an 8×10 photo at 300 dpi (resolution). Higher variations of the 8×10 ratio are allowed but the final file size may not be larger than 2,048k (2MB). County Extension Agents are encour-aged to work with volunteers and project leaders to stress the importance of instructing 4-H members on this basic photography skill.

All-4-Him's first 4-H meeting of the year was held on September 19
th at the Church of Christ on Country Club Road at 1 pm. Before
the meeting started, the Finance committee met to discuss this year's fundraisers. Mrs. Chomicki started the meeting out with prayer and then in-troduced this year’s club officers. President Ethan Brazell led the business meeting. Our Sergeant-at-Arms Brayden DeBorde led the club in the prayer, saying the pledge of allegiance, the 4-H motto and the 4-H pledge. There were 27 members attending the meeting!! The Clover Kids were dismissed to Mrs. Ragsdale in the back of the Green Room. Mrs. Chomicki then talked about making and turning in project record forms (PRFs) and recordbooks this year. She also said our club won 2
nd place at the 4-H Banquet for the number of
recordbooks we turned in last year! Mrs. Chomicki gave the members that were una-ble to attend the 4-H Banquet the awards that they had earned. Justin Chomicki was elected the new Council Delegate. We voted on a One Day 4-H project. We will be col-lecting coats for Mission Arlington. Mrs. Donathan and Bailey Blazek talked about a possible Cooking-project fundraiser and community service project. After that, the pro-ject group leaders talked about their projects. Mrs. Donathan talked about the Cooking project. Mrs. Jackson told us about the Public Speaking project group which will be led by Mrs. Chomicki. Mr. DeBorde told us about the Robotics project group, and Mrs. Brazell gave a demonstration of what her project group will be learning this year in Sign Language through Worship Music!
