Newsletter of the United Church of Primghar October, 2015- Volume 10 The other day, Duane and I were eavesdropping on the kids as they played. Kezy declared, “I’m God, Tommy, you be the angel. So now we need to get the mud together. Tommy, you get the mud. Okay, and now, since I’m God, I need to breath into it, and it becomes man.” Then Tommy yelled, “It is GOOD! Now let’s get the mud and make Pizza Ranch, because it is good, too!” Duane and I laughed, and we decided that Glenna has been doing a good job with teach- ing the kids Sunday School in Archer, and I realized that the kids were going to be starting WWW soon. All of our meetings are finally going to come together into something meaning- ful and I look forward to hearing how the lessons are going to inspire more kids. I am also really looking forward to celebrating Lord’s Acre. I have heard all sorts of wonderful stories about it, and I am already working with the worship team for the service. It should be a wonderful celebration! This really will be a busy month, and I know that as the leaves begin to change a new season is starting. We can use all the help we can get in trying to get prepared for the har- vest. Matthew 9:37b says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” I encourage everyone to try to take hold of some kind of opportunity to volunteer and allow the Spirit to work through you in inspiring new disciples. ~Pastor Kris COMING IN NOVEMBER! The items that we would “live” auction would be items brought from our talents, such items could be anything from providing a soup a month, to a dinner hosting a number of guests with individuals able to buy one plate, two plates, etc., to being willing to detail someone’s car, anything that you could do for someone else. You, the person who brings the items, will make the decision as to whether you want your item to be on the “live” or silent auction. Did you know?... Cleaning of the kitchen has begun. Please help when you can. You will find a map showing what has been cleaned. It should be on the North counter. Let’s grab a friend and have some fun doing some Fall cleaning! Did you know?... WWW is starting October 7th! We are excited to start a new year. This year we will have a new policy. For the safety of our children, we are asking that the parents “check - in” and “check - out” their children when bringing them to WWW. We also need contact information should we need to call a parent in the event of an emergency. Trinity United Church of Christ have invited the ladies to a Women’s Guest Day with Jill Miller. This will be held on October 15th at 2:00 pm. Details are on the bulletin board.
