Allegations of deforestation in Leuser Ecosystem in Indonesia (Aceh and North Sumatra). Greenpeace report Nov. 2019 "Burning Down the House" Actions BLC: Nov-19: Greenpeace reports about allegations of deforestation in various location in Indonesia. Rachmat/Amara palm oil group is alleged to be involved in various fire incidents. Oct-19: RAN reports about continuous deforestation of peat forests in the Leuser Ecosystem’s Singkil-Bengkung Region, which includes the Rawa Singkil Wildlife reserve, the Singkil and Kluet peatlands, and the connecting lowland rainforests. The report lists 2 mills illegally growing palm inside the Rawa Singkil Wildlife Reserve and 11 mills, close to the Region, that risk sourcing from the Singkil-Bengkung region. Bunge requested its trade partners Musim Mas and GAR to require these mills to adhere to Bunge’s NDPE requirements and to ensure a traceability system is in place. GAR confirmed engagement with the 2 mills from the report and require further field verification. They furthermore continuously engage with 7 other mills mentioned in the report to implement TTP. Musim Mas confirmed controlled purchasing of the 2 mills to ensure compliance with NDPE requirements and ongoing engagement with the other suppliers in the Region. Bunge continues to monitor their engagement and outcome of their TTP process. Dec-18: Bunge will no longer accept oil from this supplier. We have informed our trading partners and commercial team accordingly. Oct-18: Our trading partners have agreed a timebound action plan till year end with SPS2, until which failure to meet the milestones will result in an exclusion of SPS2 from Bunge supply chain. Jul-18: Our trading partners provided an update on the progress made. CB INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT HOLDING BERHAD Status: Suspended Log Date: April 2019 Summary: Alleged deforestation Mighty Earth report: 15, 17, 26 Actions BLC: Apr-20: ME reports about deforestation (22ha and 177ha) in PT Sawit Lamandau Raya and PT Jaya Jadi Utama; locations of CB Industrial Product Holdings. The Bunge SEA team engaged our trade partner on the progress they've made with CBIPH since May 2019. Unfortunately, no feedback or response was received from CBIPH on the requests for clarification of the clearing. As a result; CBIPH was considered as non-compliant with the NDPE principles and will be suspended from the Bunge supply chain. Jul-19: ME reports about deforestation (65ha) in another location linked to CB industrial holding. Bunge will reach out to its trade partners for further updates. May-19: ME reports about deforestation (7ha) and clearance (4ha) in the PT Jaya Jadi Utama concession. Borneo project Article UNESCO Migthy Earth Report: 13, 15, 16 Actions BLC: Jul-19: Double Dynasty is found to be non-compliant to the Bunge’s NDPE policy. Bunge will no longer accept oil from this supplier. We have informed our trading partners and commercial team accordingly. Jun-19: Bunge requested its trade partner for further updates on the outcome of the field visit in March. May-19: ME reports about deforestation of 22ha and clearance for preparation of 9ha in MPG plantation. Bunge reached out to its trade partners for further updates on their engagement with DD. Two of our trade partners suspended DD from their supply chain. One of them stopped purchasing since April, while engagement continues. A field visit was done in March and a follow up meeting to develop an action plan took place in April. Bunge continues to monitor the engagement process. Mar-19: ME reports about deforestation of 98ha in the Radian Lagoon Sdn bhd concession. Our trading partner engaged with Double Dynasty Palm Oil Mill in February. A moratorium of land clearing is in place, while documentation evidences of Radiant Lagoon’s operations is analyzed. Our trading partner scheduled a field visit for end March 2019. Feb-19: Bruno Manser Fund reports that 4,440 HC near the Mulu National Park in Sarawak was deforested for palm oil plantations. Bunge’s internal monitoring system show clearing close to the Mulu National Park 2017, 2018 and most recent in Feb 2019. Based on the latest news paper publications the deforested land in question belongs to local communities. Bunge will pro-actively engage its trade partners to verify their connections to the alleged area. ___________________________________________

Following the new RAN / Aidenvironment report we have asked our trading partner about actions taken to address the allegations in relation to PT DRM and PT SKL and the neighboring mills (mentioned in the report) that might be confronted in the future with FFB from these two concessions. Bunge will no longer accept oil from this supplier. We have informed our trading partners and commercial team accordingly. We will review our position and consider allowing IndoAgri back in our supply chain once the following criteria are met:

• Agreement between IndoAgri and the complainants on a time-bound action plan with clear milestones to resolve the issues raised

Feb-20: the Bunge team connected Prosper to Global Environmental Centre (GEC) to discuss a recovery plan for the conservation and rehabilitation of an area in the South East portion of North Selangor Peat Swamp Forest which is located close to Prosper's existing plantation. Sep-19: the first two progress reports on the implementation of its NDPE commitments were produced and shared with stakeholders in July and August. Prosper conducted an in-house LUCA to determine liability of the non-compliant clearing in Bewani. EF guided Prosper in the development of a recovery plan. Jun-19: Prosper published a group wide NDPE policy, commissioned Earthworm Foundation (EF) to assist in developing a remediation and compensation plan, implementing NDPE commitments and monitoring concessions and supply chain. Feb-19: FGV shared a first progress report in response to the milestones. The progress report indicates FGV’s commitment to rectify all mistakes and shortcomings as identified by the RSPO CP and immediate actions taken. FGV furthermore delivered a concrete action to apply the corrective measures across its entire supply chain. Bunge is satisfied with the progress made by FGV so far and will continue to monitor the implementation of the actions from the action plan. • Allowing workers better terms to terminate their contracts

• Unnecessary deductions on workers’ wages are abolished

FGV informed us that measures to address some of the milestones mentioned are already underway. We will closely monitor and see to it that they are fully implemented. We reached out to our trade partners to verify the connections and allegations on the indirectly connected mills. The mill does have a traceability SOP in place, but implementation is lacking. During the visit an action plan was developed, including detailed actions on traceability of FFB's. Further details are shared via the Musim Mas grievance list. Oct-19: RAN reports about continuous deforestation of peat forests in the Leuser Ecosystem’s Singkil-Bengkung Region, which includes the Rawa Singkil Wildlife reserve, the Singkil and Kluet peatlands, and the connecting lowland rainforests. The report lists 2 mills illegally growing palm inside the Rawa Singkil Wildlife Reserve and 11 mills, close to the Region, that risk sourcing from the Singkil-Bengkung region. Bunge requested its trade partners Musim Mas and GAR to require these mills to adhere to Bunge’s NDPE requirements and to ensure a traceability system is in place. GAR confirmed engagement with the 2 mills from the report and require further field verification. They furthermore continuously engage with 7 other mills mentioned in the report to implement TTP. Musim Mas confirmed controlled purchasing of the 2 mills to ensure compliance with NDPE requirements and ongoing engagement with the other suppliers in the Region. On PT GSK HPI reconfirmed it is committed to a land clearing moratorium since May 2018. Our trade partner and LinkAR Borneo detected land clearing after the moratorium and HPI followed up via verification that concluded: 2 out of 7 were outside GSK concession, 5 were conducted by estate management under pressure of farmers' cooperatives. HPI Head office will take all measures to ensure all estate management teams will implement moratorium. Nov-19: Bunge received information about new clearing on PT GSK, indications of hot spots inside PT GKM as well as allegations of exploitation in PT KRS and PT PAS. Based on internal monitoring and research of our trade partner an official statement of HPI states that re. PT GKM no clearing/development was done in 2019. Sept-19: Bunge has been informed via its trade partner's Grievance list that the local community agreed to stop all activities conducted in the concession mentioned in the ME reports. Aug-19: Our trade partner met with the Incasi Raya management. It was confirmed that the land development at PT SJAL has stopped since March 2019. There has been on the ground verification where it was confirmed clearing, identified by ME, was conducted by local communities. Further police investigation was conducted on the allegations of clearing in this specific area. May-19: Our trade partner informed Bunge a constructive engagement meeting was held with Incasi Raya in February. The initiative is a result of the IOI Group commitment to develop a collaborative way to tackle most common and critical issues within the ecologically diverse South Ketapang landscape. Mighty Earth Report: 23, 25 Actions BLC: Feb-20: alleged fires in area indicated in the ME report was due to fires from outside the concession. Bunge received relevant evidence from NPC indicating that fires were unforeseen and spread into concession due to dry weather and wind conditions. Bunge's internal LUC analysis did not indicate any planned clearing prior to the fires. Appropriate fire mitigation and prevention measures were initiated and NPC reassures commitments towards protecting HCV. Furthermore, assessments will be submitted for peer review. Jan-20: ME reports about deforestation of 23ha in the PT Sumbur Alam Selaras (PT SAS). Bunge received information from its trade partners that allegations are investigated. Jun-19: Bunge acknowledges the progress made by NPC over the past months. NPC delivered on the following milestones: 1. Stop work moratorium in place 2. HCV and HCS assessments completed 3. Permanent canal blocking completed. Rewetting and natural regrowth of forest completed. 4. FPIC and verification of FPIC completed. Pending a completion of the FPIC report. 5. Commitment to conserve all peat areas. Based on the milestones achieved so far and commitments made for continued moratorium, Bunge decided to lift the suspension on NPC.
