SEATTLE BOAT SHOW 2012
Our Award Winning Booth By Code4 Media Group!
We are proud to announce that Ocean Alexander & Tiara Yachts won booth of the year at the Seattle Boat Show 2012.
We could not have done this without Code4 Media Group. The Code4 team
built our booth from top to bottom in less than two days, while perfectly showcasing out brand new 2012 31’ Coronet. They
gave our booth a taste of tropical paradise, with tropical plants, bar seating, and warm lighting. They created a dock-
like walk way which boarded you onto the Coronet, making it feel like you were
about to cruise the tropics. They installed high end electronics, including 5 flat screen TVs showcasing our 120MY,
85MY, 78MY, Tiara collection and boat data base. The Ocean Alexander logo was projected with show lights, and we
had a sound system providing background music from under the dock. Thank you
everyone at Code4 for making this possible! We LOVED our booth!

2012 Seattle Boat Show Recap
We couldn’t have asked for a better Seattle Boat Show this year. To kick off as
the new West Coast Tiara dealership, our factory ordered 2012 31’ Coronet arrived just in time and had much positive feedback. With it’s beautiful dark blue hull, hard top, and detailed craftsmanship, this Tiara truly helped us put our best foot forward.
Our Newport Beach team joined us as well as Rick Venner, Business Development Manager for Tiara Yachts, for the opening the weekend of the show.
This year we decided to host 3 shows during the Seattle Boat Show. We had our
cabana styled booth featuring the 31’ Coronet at CenturyLink Stadium, our featured 54’ Veloce and 61’ Ocean Alexander at the Boats Afloat Show on South Lake Union, as well as our open house at our Ocean Alexander office on South Lake Union,
spotlighting our 22 brokerage boats. Towards the last weekend of the show, we were blessed with a couple days of sunshine, a welcome site in January. Both of the South Lake Union shows were a success, with plenty families and avid boaters here for the sunshine and boats. Over at our Ocean Alexander office, we had yachts from a
modest 22’ to up to a generous 90’. We would pride ourselves in saying that, yes, we have boats for everyone.
We had the opportunity to meet with loyal Tiara owners at the CenturyLink
Stadium show. Proud Tiara owners were impressed with the quality of our 2012 31’ Coronet. We connected with our fabulous Ocean Alexander customers, shared stories and updates. Overall, everyone had a wonderful time at the Seattle Boat Show 2012.
Thank you from Ocean Alexander & Tiara Yachts of Seattle for joining us at the Seattle Boat Show 2012. We hope to see you next year, and cannot wait for you to see what we will have in store for you.

TIARA UNVEILINGS
Broker’s Open/ 43’ Open Debut Recap by Erin Spielbuehler
Our Newport Beach Broker’s Open House held on Saturday, March 3rd in Newport Beach was a success! The weather was unbeatable and our showcased yachts really represented our brand proudly. It
was a pleasure to mingle with our loyal customers along with potential
prospects and those who may join the Ocean Alexander family in the future.
The featured yachts this year were our Ocean Alexander 90’ Motoryacht,
Ocean Alexander 65’ Pilothouse, Tiara 4300 Open, and Tiara 4300 Sovran. It was a real treat to have our Tiara 4300 Open in time for this event, as it made its West Coast debut and was very well received. The 2012 4300 Open features
a Cummins QSC Engine with Zeus Pods, a real one of a kind. Also showcased was a 69’ McKinna
Skylounge from McKinna Yachts and 44 Tiara from Chuck Hovey Yachts.
The food was fantastic, authentic Mexican tacos hosted by Sandy’s Food Service, made for the perfect afternoon bite.
We look forward to this event again next year and thank all of our customers who were able come out and support us!

Our Miami Boat Show Recap
February 16th to 20th, 2012 By Niel Steenkamp, Yacht Consultant
! This year Ocean Alexander did not only participate at the Collins Avenue location, but we also staffed the Convention Center, on behalf of Tiara Yachts of Seattle and Tiara Yachts of Newport Beach, where Tiara Yachts had 9 boats on display.
Two of the boats on display were the brand new designed 36 Coronet and the 36 Open. The Open model featured the new ZF Pod-drives with Cummins engines.
We are looking forward to getting our hands on that one to take it for a spin. The 43 Open with Cummins Zeus Pod-drives was incredible as far as performance in open water was concerned, but the real impressive feature is the "joy-stick" control which makes maneuvering very easy in close quarters.During the show, three contracts were written by the various dealers and quite a few potential leads will be closing this quarter as well.
Ocean Alexander had an incredible showing with a brand new 90 with a four
stateroom configuration, (psssttt which sold) 78 with a open Flybridge and a newly configured 65 Pilothouse. All the boats got lots of attention and the sales staff did not have time to relax. The scuttle-butt on the dock is that the show was a lot stronger than last year and of course it helped that the weather co-operated with the typical sunny 75 degrees.
We are looking forward to the upcoming April Lido Boat Show in
Newport Beach and the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show where the NEW 120 Ocean Alexander will

OWNER’S EXCLUSIVE
“Spring is coming up, so now is the time to get to those little items that might need attention.”
#1. Batteries: Lead Acids may need to have their fluid levels checked. Use only distilled water. All battery Types should have their connections checked, cleaned and protected with a corrosion
inhibiting spray. If you have not load tested your batteries lately then do it now. It’s better to find that bad one now and not while your relaxing on the hook. Don’t forget to check the bow and stern thruster
batteries; these are sometimes overlooked as well.
#2. Impellers: Another item that is easy to forget about until it dies and you’re without AC, or even worse your main engine. Replace your gen set raw water Impeller at the beginning of the season, and
not at layup or when the boat will see little use. Check with your main engine manufacturer, some engines use a metal impeller that does not require service, but if it were a rubber impeller, then I would recommend a replacement at the same time as the gen set. Always remember to carry a spare for the

They call it a dayboat, this newTiara 3600 Coronet, but there’sno doubt it will handle itself justfine after sunset, too. Dinner at
the dock or post-sunset drinks on a light-seeing tour are both within the 3600’srange.
The second in the Coronet line, andthe bigger sibling to the 3100, the 3600— which will debut this month at theMiami International Boat Show —stretches more than 42 feet includingthe pulpit and the swim step. It can eas-ily seat a dozen or so people, thoughonly four of them will find sleepingaccommodations belowdecks in the for-ward master stateroom and on the aftcabin settee/two-person sleeper. Thegalley has a Corian countertop, a sink,a microwave, a single-burner electriccooktop, a refrigerator and storage. Inthe head, you’ll find a VacuFlush toi-let, a shower with a glass door, storage,a mirror and a sink integrated into thecountertop.
Up top, the cockpit stretches fromthe transom to the helm and consistsof an upper and a lower portion. Thelower aft portion is bigger than the upperportion and has seating for four to eightpeople on an aft L-shaped settee(optional) and twin rear-facing mez-zanine seats that could accommodatetwo people each. A walkway betweenthe mezzanine seats leads to the upperportion of the cockpit, where boaterswill find seating at a twin helm seat anda port-side companion lounge. A wrap-around windshield protects the captainfrom wind and spray. For entertain-ment, there is a console aft of the helmseat that contains a sink, a drawer refrig-erator and an optional electric grill anda TV.
Owners-to-be have the choice ofadding a hardtop or a canvas soft topto the forward part of the cockpit. Thehardtop comes with a sunroof. Buyersalso have their pick when it comes topower and propulsion: two inboardchoices and one pod option. Theinboard choices are twin Mercury 8.2DTS gas engines, 375 hp apiece, or twinCummins QSB diesels, 380 hp each. TheCummins engines are also available cou-pled with ZF Pod Drive propulsion.Whatever the selection, this dayboat is
going to be fast and easy to handle, withpreliminary predictions showing a topspeed around 37 or 38 mph, depend-ing on the engine.
Anyone who needs a midday cool-down can take advantage of the 45-inchswim step that’s more of a platform, andit can be finished in teak. Other areasthat can be finished in teak include thesteering wheel, the cockpit drink hold-er and the companion lounge’s steptreads. Belowdecks is already deckedout in teak, so owners can decide howmuch nautical wood they want. Tiaraknows that boaters also like hull-colorchoices, so it offers a variety of them tolet owners personalize their day-trip-ping dandy.
