MASLOW'S HIERARCHY OF NEEDS

Abraham Maslow was born in 1908. Maslow was interested in mental health and human potential. In 1943, Maslow introduced his hierarchy of needs. Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs is an attempt to classify human needs in order of importance. With his hierarchy of needs, Maslow focused more on positive mental health than most that studied before him. Maslow's theories, including the hierarchy of needs have had a great and lasting impact on the humanistic approach to psychology and are still used in many facets of life today.
