To provide the theoretical and practical knowl-edge of basic design process of communication on any publ ishing process.

This profession is all about designing and decora-

tion of buildings along with emphasizing on the proper use of

space to make the place more attractive and comfortable. A

degree in interior design will also cover topics like furniture

design, colouring techniques, product design and anything

that augments the usability and style of building environment.

Learners also gain access to tip sheets for paint

colors and design ideas, in addition to video presentation

from an enclosed designer. The interior design course will be

more technical than interior decoration. Since, design is a

career path that requires a lot of dedication and passion.

rior Design skills like technical drawing, space design, material knowl-

edge, furniture design, and familiarization with interior design tools.

Interior design is an artful science which can enhance the aesthetics

and create healthier living environments for the clients/end users. The

professional scope of an interior designer is huge in India and backed

with a flair for innovative thinking and designing that one can reach a

pinnacle in this field. The various design software’s available such as

AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D modeling can help the designer to create

vision and ideas into virtual creations and to be artistic, analytical, peo-

ple oriented and business oriented.

The department of B.sc Home Science (ID&D) - Shift II, Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College

for women organized a one day industrial visit to Dakshina Chitra Museum, Muttukadu, Chennai on 18th

August 2018 (Saturday) & Egmore museum on 20.09.2018 (Thursday) for first year B.Sc (ID&D) students.

Ms J.Vidhya & Ms. R.Thamilselvi were the coordinators for this whole industrial visit. The students benefited

in terms of the interior design pattern provided by the museum and got to know about house models of infra-

structure. Visits were informative and gave a very good exposure to students.

FOOD AND NUTRITION FOR HEALTH by the C.S.I EWCC.

Ms. J.Vidhya and Ms. R.Thamilselvi attended a two days workshop on ’String art, Batik

dyeing, Doll dress making, ’Tassel making held on 13.10.2018 and 20.10.2018 at Dream zone

Mylapore, Chennai.

Ms. . J.Vidhya delivered a inaugural address on ‘C.S.I EWCC” at the seminar organ-

ized by the department of Food and Nutrition on 16.10.2017 at C.S.I EWCC College for

Women.

various interior décor firms. They acquired practical knowledge about the materials related to inte-
