Object-Oriented Modeling and Implementation of Structural Analysis Software Institute for Computational Engineering Institute for Structural Mechanics Course held by Matthias Baitsch and Detlef Kuhl The main goal of the seminar is to bring together what belongs together. On one side the state of the art object-oriented programming language Java is applied to engineering problems. On the other side finite element theory becomes alive within a finite element program developed by the students. In order to gain insight in both topics − object-oriented pro- gramming and finite element theory − they are ap- plied to an object-oriented finite element program for spatial truss structures. This symbiosis of the theory of numerical methods and object-oriented program- ming provides an inspiring basis for the successful study of computational engineering. This poster shows the results of the programming work of the students during the course in summer 2005. element forces deformation top view front view side view 2. mode shape 1. mode shape front view side view element forces deformation deformation element forces deformation element forces isometrict view top view element forces deformation element forces element forces element forces element forces element forces side view element forces - top view element forces - top view element forces - side view element forces side view top view deformation element forces element forces element forces the course title in the participant‘s languages Satyakiran Gogula Govind Singh Pattan Feroz Khan Tanongsak Sikiwat Serkan Bekiroglu Memduh Altintas Venugopal Rao Karnam Durga Krishna Kanth Dodda Abidalrhman Abeed Lenan Muric Binod Paudel Pratik Raval Murat Artim Berk Ozberk Li, Na Metin Ilikkan Mohsen Gaeini Vedat Toğan Sudarat Worapittayaporn Kinkiri Amaranatha Reddy
