FOR OPENERS: Was recalled from Triple-A Nashville May 23 for his sec-ond stint with the A’s this year and is 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA (7 er in 24.2 ip) in four starts since his return…was on the A’s Opening Day roster and went 1-2 with an 8.27 ERA in four starts before he was optioned to Nashville April 26…went 2-1 with a 1.85 ERA in four starts with the Sounds…was acquired from Toronto Nov., 28, 2014 with pitcher Sean Nolin, infielder Brett Lawrie and minor league infielder Franklin Barreto for Josh Donald-son…made his Major League debut with the Blue Jays last year in just his second professional season and compiled a 3.86 ERA in five relief appearances.

HOME AND AWAY: Is 3-0 with a 1.98 ERA (6 er in 27.1 ip) and .243 (25-for-103) opponents batting average in five starts on the road compared to 0-2 with a 10.54 ERA (16 er in 13.2 ip) and .377 (23-for-61) opponents average in three starts at home.

SECOND START: He combined with O’Flaherty, Otero, Abad and Clippard on an eight-hit shutout in the A’s 4-0 win at Houston April 14…it was his first Major League win…tossed 5.1 innings and allowed four of the hits…allowed four runners into scoring position and retired the side in order just once (fifth inning).

THIRD START: He had a no decision in the A’s 6-3 win at Los Angeles April 20…the A’s scored a run in the first but he allowed two in the bottom of the first on a two-run single by Freese…the A’s then scored three runs in the third to take a 4-2 lead but he allowed a Pujols RBI single in the bottom of the third…had a 5-3 lead when he walked the first two batters in the fourth inning…was relieved by Otero who stranded both runners and tossed 4.0 scoreless innings for the win.

FOURTH START: He was the losing pitcher in the A’s 9-3 loss to Houston on April 25 in Oakland…allowed a RBI double to Lowrie in the first inning and a three-run home run to Altuve in the third…also yielded a RBI single to Lowrie in the fifth and was relieved by Bassitt with runners on first and third and two outs in the sixth…Bassitt allowed one of the runners to score on a wild pitch.

FIFTH START: He combined with Scribner and Clippard on a six-hit shut-out in the A’s 5-0 win at Tampa Bay last Saturday…tossed six innings and allowed three of the hits…struck out a career-high six…retired 12 of the first 13 batters he faced…allowed only two runners to advance into scoring position.

SIXTH START: He had a no decision in the A’s 5-4 win over New York (AL) May 28 in Oakland…allowed a solo home run to McCann in the second inning, a RBI single to McCann in the fourth and a sacrifice fly to Rodriguez in the fifth…was relieved by Abad with two outs in the sixth inning and the A’s trailing 3-1…Oakland scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to get him off the hook and twice in the seventh for the win.

SEVENTH START: He was the winning pitcher in the A’s 5-3 win at Detroit June 2…allowed three runs, all in the fourth inning…one run scored on a wild pitch and he allowed a two-run single to Castellanos…the A’s scored five runs in the seventh to take the lead…Scribner tossed a scoreless sev-enth and eighth and Clippard a scoreless ninth to earn him the win.

LAST START: He had a no decision in the A’s 7-4 loss at Boston last Sunday…tossed a career-high 7.0 innings and a career-high 101 pitches while striking out a career-high tying six…shutout the Red Sox on five hits and two walks over the first seven innings…had a 4-0 lead and had retired 13 straight before Castillo led off the eighth inning with a home run…the bullpen allowed six more runs in the eighth inning with Clippard getting the blown save and loss.
