CIY. If you went last summer you know what a life changing experience it is. You probably came home talking about the amazing time you had worshiping with a few thousand other students for a week. If you didn’t go last year let me just put it very simply. You missed out. Don’t worry though, CIY is quickly approaching again this summer, and now is the time to start signing up to go. CIY is a weeklong summer retreat being held on the beautiful campus of Milligan College in Johnson City TN. This retreat focuses on giving upcoming 9th grade-12th grade students a week that will change their lives. This year the theme is, “This Changes Everything.” It will be a week that focuses on the one item that can change how you live, what you focus on, and how you treat others. This item is the Gospel. I am super excited to be taking a group of students again this summer and I want you there with us! If you want to go it’s simple.

1) Let Jonathan know by April 13th that you want to attend.

2) Pay Jonathan $50 by April 13th.

3) Pay Jonathan the remaining balance of $85 by June 16th.4) Look for your Information Packet in the mail

5) Show up on June 16th ready for a long bus ride and a life-changing week.

WHAT’S GOING ON?!A Highlight of Spring and Summer activities for Middle and High

February 2nd- Super Bowl party with Fairmount Christian Church @ Fairmount. Bus leaves at 2:45.

February 14th-15 Students help with Brunswick Stew Sale to fund mission trip.

February 21st-23rd CCYC in Durham N.C. for 6th-12 Grade.

February 23rd- No Oxygen

April 12th- Service Project

April 16th - Destination Unknown. Bus leaves at 8:00 a.m. Returns at 9:00 p.m. Cost is $15.

June 8th- Oxygen Graduation Party. June 16th-21st CIY @ Milligan College. Cost is $135. Sign up by April 13th.

I am excited about the mission trip opportunity that Oxygen Student

Ministries is able to be a part of this Summer! On July 14th-17th we will have

the opportunity to go and serve Mountain Mission School in Grundy VA.

Mountain Mission School has served as home, church and school to more

than 200 kids in need, coming to them from Appalachia to Africa to Asia.

MMS provides first-rate academics, loving family and social support, and a

firm commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We as a church have an

opportunity to go and serve this great institution by assisting them with

grounds keeping work and other basic maintenance needs. We will be

funding this trip through Brunswick Stew sales taking place on February 15th.

Teens will be assisting with the preparation and sale of the stew. Here are a

few facts to know about the trip.

1) The trip is free to all who help participate in the Brunswick Stew

Sale. The only expense will be meals to and from MMS.

2) We will leave the morning of July 14th at 8:00 a.m. and will return

July 17th around 2:00 p.m.

Join Us Sunday Nights at 6:00 p.m. in the Pavilion as we find our story in God’s Story.
