All cast grades 5-8
CALLING ALL WHOS!
We need actors in GRADES 1-4 to be the “Whos” in
Seussical, Jr! Rehearsals will begin January 21st for grades 1-4.
Rehearsals for 1-4th grade will be on Mondays with some Sundays added starting March (actors only need to be at rehearsal if schedule specifies). Our show will take place on April 26, 27, 28 (school show April 24).
Rehearsals will TYPICALLY be at the Wall Street Campus unless otherwise specified. This means that that the 1-4th grade students will get on the bus at the Broadway Campus and take it to the Wall Street Campus,
which is also where PICK-UP will be.
Students must have a signed permission slip in order to stay. **Theatre fee must be paid before the first rehearsal**
The musical theater activity fee is $30 per student in addition to a strike fee of $25 per family. Strike fee will be held until end of the show and returned to families who participate in striking the set.
Families who do not participate will lose their strike fee.
Please return this permission slip by January 18th.
I give my child, ___________________________________, permission to take the bus to the Wall St. Campus and remain after school for Seussical, Jr. rehearsals. I agree to pick up my child promptly at the specified time in the back parking lot. If someone other than a parent will be picking up my child, I am aware that I must sent written consent to school. I understand that all school rules and policies, in addition to those specific to the program, are in effect during after school activities at KCS. In the event of noncompliance, the principal, Mrs. Albert, or the program facilitator, Ms. Tarcza, may remove students from the program. As with all extracurricular activities, students must maintain satisfactory grades, behavior, and attendance in all of their classes to participate in this program.
Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support Kingston Catholic School. Come in to the Chipotle at 1217 Ulster Avenue in Kingston on Monday, January 28thbetween 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Bring in this flyer, show it on
your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated
to Kingston Catholic School.
Online orders will not be included in the fundraiser total. To ensure your purchase is counted in the fundraiser, be sure to order and pay in-restaurant. Gift card purchases during fundraisers do not count towards total donated sales, but purchases
made with an existing gift card will count.
Are you up for a CHALLENGE???
The KCSFO Penny Challenge will run during Catholic School’s Week,
Monday January 28th
through Thursday, January 31st
.
Be sure to read the rules and share with your students.
There will be TWO SEPARATE CONTESTS, with two winning classes: PreK – 4th
Grade and
5th
– 8th
Grade.
Students collect and deposit pennies into their class bank during the contest. The class
at each campus with the most pennies wins.
BUT it isn’t that simple… students can collect silver change (quarters, dimes, nickels) and
deposit them into opposing grade’s banks. While pennies count as a positive, silver
change is a negative and is subtracted from the class totals.
At the completion of the contest, each grade’s bank will be totaled. There will NOT be a
daily tally maintained throughout the week. Students will be able to see each class bank
and will have to decide where to deposit their silver change by making a guesstimate.
The winners will be announced Monday, February 4th
.
