Survey With so many members contributing to NZSilversmith by adding photos, writting a blog, asking and answering questions on the forum, and leaving feedback and comments on people's work, it might shock, and indeed horror you, to hear that there are some members who have not done anything since joining. This got me thinking, 'What do members aim to get out of being a member on NZSIlversmith?'. To find out a little bit more I have created a short survey using an online site called Survey Monkey. I have included the link to the survey in the email you have just recieved, and I'd really appreciate it if any of you would be able to provide any feedback about NZSIlversmith. I will coalate the information and report back to you in the September newsletter. It is all about trying to make the site better for all of us! Follow the link in the email, on NZSilversmiths or copy and paste: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VJBFZPH Thanks in advance! Having been in email contact with several NZSilversmith members recently I have been excited to hear lots of people mentioning the 'sense of community' they get with being a member of NZSilversmith. It seems an odd thing doesn't it, having a sense of community with others that you have never actually met? My mother is 'friends' with her FarmTown neighbours on Facebook, people around the world she has never met, but who discuss all sorts of things from their children's latest antics, to politics. They were somewhat randomly drawn together and in a way I tease her about, but here on NZSilversmith we have been drawn together by a common passion for metal, design and a love of creating something from nothing. It has got me wondering whether it would be nice to hold some 'real life' local get togethers in various parts of the country? Please contribute to the discussion in the 'General' forum'.
