To develop and maximize the potential of young people

through selfless community service, challenges of

adventure, skills development and physical recreation so

that they may be exceptional individuals, who can

contribute effectively to society and the nation.

• The National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA)

Programme was officially launched on 9 May 1992. The

aim of the NYAA programme is to be a non-competitive

programme that encourages and motivates young

people between the ages of 14 – 25 to develop

personal qualities of:– Self reliance

– Perseverance

– Sense of responsibility to oneself, to society and to the nation

5 Sections of the Award Programme

Step 1 : Getting the enrolment form, obtain parental consent.

The enrolment form may be obtained from Mr Jason Yap SEG [email protected]

Step 2 : Send in the form to RP One Stop Centre. The fees are fully sponsored by RP (Bronze $7, Silver $12, Gold $17)

Step 3 : You will be notified when the Award Diary and Record Book is ready for collection.

The Award Diary and Record Book represent the experiences and achievements of the participant. They act as a record of success and achievement.

NYAA Criteria OSG Programme

Service Service-Learning Projects organized by Service-Learning Clubs or Community Service Programme that are initiated by various IGs

Adventurous Journey 4D3N Adventure and Leadership Programme organized by Adventure Learning Centre

Skills Participation in various IGs (Projects Management Skills/Events Management Skill/Communication/Conflict Resolution/Public Speaking/Culinary Skill /Dancing/Music Instruments etc)

Physical Recreation Sports.Shorts Programme /Learn to Play Program/Participation in various sports IGs etc

Residential Project (only applicable to Gold Award Participants)

International Service-Learning Projects to Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia etc …

Congratulations to two RP students, Chen Yu Ting Phylicia and Kennia Wong Jia Bin, who were the recipients of the 2011 NYAA Gold Award! Do you know what made their win sweeter? :) They had the chance to meet His Excellency Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore, who graced the event.
