Popular clubI am very pleased to tell that since the first letter

about that the club is running again, the respons from you collectors have been great. All the club packs, 2000 pieces, are now sent out from us and a lot of the buyers have either returned the registration card to me or used the online registration on the Internet.Both is very fine with us, and the good thing is that when we register your name in the membership list you automatically receive the second issue of the magazine, and we can reach you with new club information. Since the respons is so good, it is extra fun for me to work on with this club. A lot of you are sending us pictures of your troll collections, and I will try to get it on print in the magazine. I can’t promise that there is space for everyone, but I will do my best. If you don’t find your picture or your text in this issue, you may find it in the next one, which is the one who is together with the next club troll in the new pack that we hope to release in February.

Since the last time we have elected a new trollwife in Norway at the yearly Troll Festival at Tynset, some trolls have been cruisin’ around in their fancy Trolls Roys, and you collectors have sent us some great limericks for the competition.I hope that you will enjoy reading about this and that you keep on sending us stories and pictures of you and your trolls.

Sono veramente felice di potervi comunicare che dall’ultima volta in cui ci siamo sentiti il club sta progredendo velocemente e che il riscontro da parte di voi collezionisti è stato semplicemente grandioso. Finalmente siamo riusciti a spedire tutti i 2000 pacchetti club e molti acquirenti mi hanno già restituito la scheda di registrazione oppure si sono iscritti on line tramite Internet.In entrambi i modi va benissimo ed in più, quando il vostro nome viene registrato nella lista dei soci, riceverete automaticamente la seconda edizione della rivista, che vi tiene costantemente informati sulle notizie del club.

Anche in considerazione di una reazione così positiva, sono doppiamente contenta di lavorare a questo club. Molti di voi ci inviano fotografie della propria collezione di troll ed io farò il possibile per inserirle nella rivista. Purtroppo non posso promettere di trovare uno spazio per tutti, anche se cercherò di fare del mio meglio. Se non troverete la vostra foto o la vostra lettera in questo numero, non è escluso che vi riconosciate nella prossima edizione, che troverete nel pacchetto con il nuovo troll club, che prevediamo di avere pronto per febbraio.

Dalla volta scorsa abbiamo eletto la nuova moglie Troll dell’anno durante il festival annuale dei troll a Tynset in Norvegia, alcuni troll se ne sono andati in giro con la loro bizzarra Trolls Roys e voi collezionisti ci avete mandato alcune poesie davvero umoristiche e sagaci per la gara.Spero che vi divertiate leggendo le nostre notizie e che continuiate a spedirci storie e fotografie che vi ritraggono insieme ai vostri troll.

Mit großer Freude kann ich Euch heute mitteilen, dass wir seit der Veröffentlichung des ersten Magazins, indem wir den Neuanfang des Trollklubs ankündigen, eine Menge positiver Response von Euch, den Sammlern, erhalten haben. Alle Klub-Angebote (2000 Stück) wurden versandt und viele der Käufer haben entweder das Anmeldeformular an mich zurückgeschickt oder die Online-Registrierung im Internet benutzt.Wir sind mit dieser Entwicklung sehr zufrieden und wollen Euch auch weiterhin auf dem Laufenden halten. Wenn Ihr Euren Namen im Mitgliederverzeichnis registriert, erhaltet Ihr automatisch die zweite Ausgabe des Magazins mit allen Neuigkeiten des Klubs.

Besonders viel Vergnügen bereitet mir die Arbeit mit dem Klub, weil Eure Reaktionen so positiv sind. Viele von Euch haben uns Bilder von ihrer Troll-Sammlung zugeschickt, die wir selbstverständlich gerne im Magazin abdrucken möchten. Leider kann ich nicht versprechen, dass wir Platz für alle haben werden. Wenn Du Dein Bild oder Deinen Brief in dieser Ausgabe nicht finden kannst, dann erscheinen sie wahrscheinlich in der nächsten, die wir im Februar zusammen mit einem weiteren Klub-Troll als neues Klub-Angebot herausbringen werden.

Seitdem wir zuletzt ein neues Trollweib beim jährlichen Trollfestival in Tynset/Norwegen gewählt haben, ist einiges passiert: Tynset-Trolle sind in einem schicken Trolls Roys durch die Gegend gekreuzt und Ihr, die Sammler, habt uns einige großartige Beiträge für den Limerick-Wettbewerb geschickt. Über all das könnt Ihr in dieser Ausgabe lesen. Ich wünsche Euch gute Unterhaltung und hoffe, dass Ihr uns auch weiterhin Bilder und Geschichten von Euch und Euren Trollen sendet.

Hello, dear trollfriends! My little friends expressed their desire that I should write our story to you. Many years ago I spend my holidays in an idyllic place in Spain, and the trollcouple no. 126 followed me back to Germany.

For a long time I didn t know that there where more trolls all over the world. But one day, I got a phonecall from my uncle in Amsterdam. He had discovered a shop where the trolls lived in a little troll-land. Since that time I always make a trip to the troll-land when I visit Amsterdam, and I couldn t find it in my heart to adopt at least one troll.

My family also took this lovely creatures into their hearts, and at special occasions trolls like to travel to Germany to live with me, my boyfriend and the other trolls.

Over the Internet I found a place in the region “Schwarzwald” in Germany that has its own trollhouse. The trolls like to make a stop there on their journey to the trollfriends. It looks like that the trolls really love to travel in a group. As often as possible I give them the pleasure to travel in this way. Of course no troll has to travel alone. Mostly there are two or three of them. At this moment we live with 48 trolls together and I think there will allways be a place in our flat for them. They bring us every day a lot of joy and for that we caress them.

Unfortunatley I didn’t hear about the trollclub before 2001. At Christmas I got my first clubtroll and I was very exited to hear that there are a lot of people all over the world who gives trolls a nice and warm home.

I have also an idea for a new troll. After having studied the story of the trolls I can imagine that the trolls often visit their friends and relatives and so they have to travel over the great lakes in Norway. For that purpose I think they use a canoe. Maybe sometimes we can see them paddling over a lake in the moonlight. For sure the trolls are very sporting and I can imagine that they participate a canoe-race over the lakes. Maybe at the trolldays ?

Hallo liebe Trollfreunde, meine kleinen Freunde haben den Wunsch geaeussert, dass wir Ihnen auch einmal schreiben sollten. Vor vielen Jahren, in einem idyllischen Urlaubsort in Spanien, hat sich mir das Trollpaerchen Nr. 126 angeschlossen. Lange Zeit war mir nicht bekannt, dass es noch mehr Trolle ueberall in der Welt gibt. Doch eines Tages erhielt ich einen Anruf von meinem Onkel aus Amdsterdam. Dieser hatte ein Geschaeft entdeckt wo die Trolle in einem kleines Trollland lebten. Seitdem habe ich immer einen Ausflug ins Trollland unternommen, wenn ich Amsterdam besuchte und ich habe es dann auch nicht uebers Herz gebracht nicht mindestens einen Troll zu adoptieren. Meine Familie hat diese liebenswuerdigen Geschoepfe auch in ihre Herzen geschlossen und bei besonderen Gelegenheiten hat sich ein Troll auf die Reise nach Deutschland gemacht, um bei mir, meinem Freund und den anderen Trollen zu wohnen. Ueber das Internet habe ich dann erfahren, dass es einen Ort im “Schwarzwald” in Deutschland gibt, welches sein eigenes Trollhaeuschen hat. Die Trolle moegen es, dort auf ihrer Reise zu den Trollfreunden, einen Zwischenstopp einzulegen. Es scheint so, dass die Trolle sehr gerne in einer Gruppe reisen. So oft wie moeglich mache ich ihnen die Freude auf diesem Weg zu reisen. Natuerlich muss kein Troll die lange Reise allein antreten. Meistens kommen sie zu zweit oder dritt. Zur Zeit leben wir mit 48 Trolle zusammen und es werden bestimmt noch mehr Platz bei uns finden. Sie bringen uns jeden Tag viel Freude und werden deshalb auch regelmaessig gestreichelt. Leider habe ich erst Weihnachten 2001 erfahren, dass es einen Trollclub gibt. Ich war ganz aufgeregt zu erfahren, dass es so viele andere Menschen auf der ganzen Welt gibt, welche den Trollen ein schoenes und warmes Zuhause geben. Ich habe auch eine Idee fuer einen neuen Troll. Nachdem ich mich lange mit der Geschichte der Trolle beschaeftigt habe, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass die Trolle haeufig ihre Freunde und Verwandten besuchen und hierfuer die grossen Seen in Norwegen ueberqueren muessen. Dazu benutzen sie bestimmt ein Kanu. Vielleicht sieht man sie manchmal im Mondschein ueber einen See paddeln. Auch sind die Trolle bestimmt sehr sportlich und ich kann mir vorstellen, dass sie Kanu-Wettrennen ueber die Seen veranstalten. Vielleicht an den Trolltagen ? Salve, cari amici dei troll!

I miei cari amici mi hanno chiesto di scrivere per voi la loro storia. Molti anni fa’ ho trascorso le vacanze in un luogo idilliaco della Spagna e, al ritorno in Germania, la coppia di troll n. 126 mi ha seguito.

Per tanto tempo non ho saputo dell’esistenza di altri troll nel mondo, poi, un bel giorno, ricevetti la telefonata di mio zio da Amsterdam, che aveva scoperto un negozio dove i troll vivevano in un piccolo territorio riservato solo a loro. Da allora faccio sempre visita al territorio dei troll quando sono ad Amsterdam e non posso fare a meno di adottarne almeno uno nel mio cuore.

Anche la mia famiglia si è affezionata a queste amabili creature e, in occasioni speciali, ai troll piace venire in Germania per stare con me, con il mio ragazzo e con gli altri troll.

Tramite Internet ho trovato un luogo in Germania, nella regione della “Selva Nera”, dove c’è una vera e propria casa dei troll. A loro piace farvi tappa quando sono in viaggio per andare a trovare gli amici. Sembra che ai troll piaccia molto spostarsi in gruppo e, tutte le volte che posso, non lesino loro il piacere di viaggiare in questo modo. Ovviamente nessun troll deve spostarsi da solo, spesso sono in due o in tre. Attualmente vivono con noi 48 troll e penso che ci sarà sempre un posto per loro nel nostro appartamento. Ogni giorno ci portano molta gioia e per questo motivo noi li coccoliamo.

Purtroppo non sapevo niente del club dei troll prima del 2001. A Natale ho ricevuto il primo troll del club e mi sono davvero stupita quando ho saputo che così tante persone nel mondo offrono ai troll una casa accogliente e calda.

Ho avuto anche un’idea per un nuovo troll. Dopo avere studiato la loro storia, posso immaginare che i troll facciano spesso visita ai loro amici e parenti e che pertanto debbano viaggiare attraverso i grandi laghi della Norvegia. A tale scopo ritengo che usino le canoe e forse, talvolta con un po’ di fortuna, possiamo vederne qualcuno remare lentamente con la pagaia al chiarore della luna. Sicuramente i troll sono dei grandi sportivi e presumo che partecipino a gare di canottaggio sui laghi, magari in occasione delle giornate dedicate a loro.

Trolls Roys

In the Trolls Roys, a wood stack of a car, the Tynset-trolls left for a dangerous expedition from Tynset to Oslo. They do this to demonstrate that a better highway is needed, and also to promote the Troll Days of course.

There were many surprised drivers on the Norwegian roads when this equipage showed up. In 25 kilometers/hour they drove slove but safely on Higway no. 3 from the mountain village Tynset with their headlight turned in the direction of the capital, Oslo. They wanted to talk with the politicians on the Norwegian Parliament, Stortinget. The trolls are not satisfied with their main roads condition, and they want the politicians to appropriate money when they work with the National Transport Plan for the Highways in Norway.It looked like the Ministry of Transport and Communication was a bit afraid of trolls, because they didn’t show up, but politicians from Tynset came together with the Trollwife of the year, Shabana Rehman, to listen to what they had to say.

Dangerous expeditionWith a car built of birch, spruce and pine on a chassis from an old VW beetle, Terje Wien the car-builder and the trolls left for this dangerous but important expedition.

They thought it were frightening to use the cars horn, which in truth is a Sheeps jingle, because the road goes through woodland with both bear and wolf. It is dangerous to pass oneself off as a sheep then!

On their way to the capital they had planed to say hello to both great and small, and one of the highlights was to visit a norwegian school where a lot of children were waiting for them.It is not everyday that trolls show up between ordinary people, and it is definetly not usual that the Tynset Trolls drive up in the schoolyard.

The Trolls had to tell the children about their plans in Oslo, and as they stood there in the schoolyard two other trolls showed up too! That was a surprise! To missing relatives showed up in good shape, and they could tell that they were studying at this school, together with those great kids. That was realy good news, but the trolls had to move on if they should reach the Ministry of

Transport before their very important meeting.

On their way the trolls enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful nature, because when you drive as slow as they did, you have time to really breath in the taste of the nature.

Under a bonnet of turf the trolls are working hard. This engine has troll-power!

Trolls Roys – per migliorare le autostradeCon la Trolls Roys, la parente in legno delle normali automobili, alcuni troll sono partiti da Tynset in direzione di Oslo per compiere una pericolosa spedizione. Lo hanno fatto per dimostrare che servono autostrade migliori, ed ovviamente anche per promuovere le giornate dedicate ai troll.

Sono state molte le sorprese svelate da questo equipaggio durante il viaggio sulle strade norvegesi. Alla velocità di 25 chilometri orari hanno percorso lentamente ma al contempo senza incidenti l’autostrada n. 3 dal paese di Tynset in direzione della capitale Oslo. Volevano parlare con i politici del Parlamento norvegese perché i troll non sono soddisfatti delle condizioni delle loro principali arterie stradali e vogliono che i politici stanzino denaro a favore delle autostrade norvegesi in occasione del nuovo piano nazionale dei trasporti. Sembra che il Ministro dei Trasporti e delle Comunicazioni abbia un po’ paura dei troll a causa delle loro improvvise apparizioni e sparizioni, ma alcuni politici di Tynset sono arrivati in compagnia della moglie Troll dell’anno, Shabana Rehman, per sentire che cosa avesse da dire.

Spedizione pericolosaCon un’automobile fatta di legno di betulla, abete e pino, appoggiata sul vecchio telaio di un maggiolone VW, il costruttore Terje Wien ed i troll partirono per questa spedizione coraggiosa ma importante. Pensarono che sarebbe stato pericoloso usare il clacson dell’automobile, che in effetti era simile al tintinnio dei collari delle pecore, perché la strada attraversava boschi popolati da orsi e lupi. Non sarebbe stato affatto facile passare inosservati senza essere scambiati per pecore! Nel loro tragitto verso la capitale vollero distribuire saluti a grandi e piccini ed una delle mete principali fu una scuola norvegese dove erano attesi da molti bambini.Non capita tutti i giorni vedere i troll comparire tra la gente comune ed è ancora meno normale che alcuni troll di Tynset entrino in una scuola.I nostri amici dovevano spiegare ai bambini il motivo del loro viaggio a Oslo e, mentre stavano per raggiungere la scuola, apparvero anche altri due troll! Che magnifica sorpresa! Avrebbero ritrovato dei parenti dati per dispersi, che sembravano anche in gran forma e raccontavano di studiare proprio lì, insieme a quei meravigliosi ragazzini. Era davvero una bella notizia, ma i nostri troll non dovevano dimenticare la loro meta se volevano arrivare dal Ministro dei Trasporti prima dell’importante incontro. Lungo la strada i troll si godettero l’aria frizzante e la stupenda natura, perché viaggiando a quella bassa velocità avevano la possibilità di apprezzarne davvero il sapore.

Trolls Roys – für bessere StrassenIn einem Trolls Roys, einem Holzstapel von einem Auto, traten die Tynset-Trolle eine gefährliche Expedition von Tynset nach Oslo an. Mit dieser Aktion wollten die Trolle für bessere Strassen demonstrieren und gleichzeitig natürlich für die Trolltage werben.

Viele Autofahrer auf norwegischen Strassen erlebten eine Überraschung, als plötzlich dieses Gefährt auftauchte. Mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 25km/h und leuchtenden Scheinwerfern fuhren sie langsam aber sicher auf der A3 vom Bergdorf Tynset in Richtung der Hauptstadt Oslo. Die Tynset-Trolle wollten mit den Politikern des norwegischen Parlaments „Stortinget“ reden, da sie unzufrieden mit dem Zustand der Strassen sind. Sie fordern, dass die Politiker in der nächsten Haushaltsperiode mehr finanzielle Unterstützung für den Bau neuer Strassen bereitstellen. Es schien jedoch, als hätte das Ministerium für Transport und Kommunikation ein wenig Angst vor Trollen, denn keiner der Minister war zu einem Gespräch bereit. Lediglich einige Politiker aus Tynset unterhielten sich mit den Tynset-Trollen und dem Trollweib des Jahres, Shabana Rehman.

Gefährliche ExpeditionIn einem Auto aus Birken-, Fichten- und Kiefernholz, dessen Fahrgestell aus einem alten VW-Käfer stammt, brachen der Autobauer Terje Wien und die Trolle zu dieser gefährlichen, aber wichtigen Expedition von Tynset nach Oslo auf.Sie hatten Angst, die Hupe – in Wahrheit eine Schafsglocke – zu benutzen, da die Strasse durch eine Waldlandschaft führte, in der sowohl Bären als auch Wölfe beheimatet sind. Sich hier als Schaf auszugeben, ist nicht ungefährlich!Auf ihrem Weg in die Hauptstadt wollten die Trolle sowohl Erwachsene als auch Kinder treffen. Einer der Höhepunkte war der Besuch einer norwegischen Schule. Hier wurden sie von einer großen Schar Kinder erwartet. Es ist nicht alltäglich, dass sich Trolle unter Menschen zeigen; und noch ungewöhnlicher ist es, dass Tynset-Trolle auf dem Schulhof auftauchen.Die Trolle berichteten den Kindern von ihren Plänen in Oslo, und als sie dort auf dem Schulhof standen, kamen plötzlich zwei andere Trolle vorbei! Das war eine Überraschung! Zwei verschwundene Verwandte tauchten wohlbehalten wieder auf und erzählten, dass auch sie, ebenso wie die großartigen Kinder, Schüler dieser Schule seien. Das waren wirklich gute Neuigkeiten, doch die Trolle konnten nicht länger bleiben. Wenn sie das Ministerium für Transport und Kommunikation noch vor einem wichtigen Treffen erreichen wollten, mussten sie sich nun auf den Weg machen.

Trollfestival in the troll’s rock

Norway is the land of the Trolls, and Tynset is the place they are born! It’s as simple as that, and this year as several years earlier the trolls are having a festival for themselves and all other trolls in June. And even if the business community are enjoying the festival with small stands in the streets, it is the trolls that makes the setting.

The festival starts with a parade with great and small trolls, music and horses in the streets, street life and many places to sit down for something to drink or eat. In four days it is hustle and bustle in the streets of Tynset, and you got great possibilities for a good bargain on the stands.

In the evening there is conserts with different kinds of music, but it is the blues that is the favourite in The Troll Days. Blues has always been there, and it will always be there. The trolls loves it, but they have also

dixieland and other kinds of music for those who prefer that.

La Norvegia è la terra dei Troll e Tynset è il luogo dove sono nati! E’ quindi più che ovvio che quest’anno, come tutti gli anni passati, i troll abbiano avuto un loro festival che si è tenuto a giugno. Anche se gli imprenditori locali l’hanno organizzato con piccoli stand nelle strade, sono i troll che ne hanno gestito la realizzazione.

Il festival è iniziato con una parata di piccoli e grandi troll, con musica e cavalli in strada, vie affollate e molti posti dove sedersi per bere o mangiare qualcosa. In quattro giorni le strade di Tynset sono state stracolme di ogni curiosità e c’è stata la possibilità di fare un buoni acquisti tra gli stand.

Di sera ci sono stati concerti con diversi tipi di musica, sebbene sia stato il blues a farla da padrone nei giorni dedicati ai Troll. Il blues è sempre stato presente e continuerà ad esserlo perché i troll lo apprezzano molto, ma ci sono stati anche altri tipi di musica.

Das Trollfestival in Norwegen

Norwegen ist das Land der Trolle und Tynset ist der Ort, an dem sie geboren wurden. So einfach ist das! Wie schon so viele Jahre zuvor arrangieren die Tynset-Trolle auch dieses Jahr im Juni ein Festival für sich und alle anderen Trolle. Auch wenn die Geschäftsleute des Ortes das Festival mit kleinen Marktständen in den Strassen feiern, so stehen doch die Trolle im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens.

Das Festival beginnt mit einer Parade großer und kleiner Trolle, Musik und Pferdeumzügen. Das Leben pulsiert in den Strassen und auch für das leibliche Wohl ist gesorgt. Vier Tage lang herrscht geschäftiges Treiben in Tynset und an den Markständen stehen die Chancen nicht schlecht, das eine oder andere Schnäppchen zu ergattern.

Abends werden Konzerte veranstaltet und ganz unterschiedliche Musik gespielt. Allerdings ist der Blues die Lieblingsmusik unter den Besuchern der Trolltage. Der Blues war schon immer da, und wird auch immer dort sein. Die Trolle lieben ihn, aber sie spielen nach Belieben auch Dixieland oder andere Musik.

Shabana Rehman Trollwife of the year

*The trollwife prize is designed specially for the winner every year. Shabana Rehman has made some heavy lifts for the a good cause many times.

One of the highlights during the Troll Days at Tynset is the Trollwife prize. This prize is a

prize of honour, and it is given to a person who has characterise herself with her way of reaching her’s goal

The Trollwife of the year hold the title to all the qualities a trollwife should have: She is stubborn, wilful, persevering, reckless, smart and uncompromising. But deep inside, she is very kind. A trollwife is very untraditional in her conduct, and this years trollwife is our very popular stand-up comedian: Shabana Rehman.

She got the prize for her contribution to integration and equalisme, and not at least for the liberty to be oneself. With humor as a weapon she has fighted for her goals, and she has made people listening and reflect on what she says. She has the courage to talk about taboos, and even make fun of them.In this way she has established comprehension and openness so that taboos can be removed and we can give freedom to new groups of people.

La moglie Troll dell’anno detiene il titolo in virtù di tutte le qualità che deve avere la moglie di un troll: tenacia, caparbietà, perseveranza, sprezzo del pericolo, intelligenza ed intransigenza, ma, in fondo in fondo, anche gentilezza. La moglie di un troll si comporta in modo molto poco tradizionale: quest’anno è stata scelta la nostra popolarissima autrice di commedie Shabana Rehman.

E’ stata premiata per il suo contributo a favore dell’integrazione e dell’uguaglianza e, non da ultimo, della libertà di essere se stessi. Usando l’umorismo come arma ha perseguito i propri obbiettivi, guadagnandosi l’attenzione e la riflessione della gente sulle sue argomentazioni. Ha avuto anche il coraggio di affrontare e sdrammatizzare molti tabù. In questo modo ha contribuito a formare una mentalità più moderata ed aperta, al fine di rimuovere consolidati tabù per rendere liberi nuovi gruppi di persone.

*Il premio per la moglie Troll dell’anno viene definito specificatamente ogni volta in relazione alla vincitrice. Shabana Rehman ha incentivato spesso e fortemente alcune buone cause.

Einer der Höhepunkte während der diesjährigen Trolltage von Tynset ist die Verleihung des Trollweib-Preises. Dieser Ehrenpreis wird an eine Person verliehen, die sich durch Zielstrebigkeit und durch den Glauben an ihre Ideen und Möglichkeiten auszeichnet.

Das Trollweib des Jahres sollte all die Qualitäten haben, die ein Trollweib besitzt: Es ist stur, eigensinnig, beharrlich, wild, klug und kompromisslos, aber im Grunde hat es ein gutes Herz. Weiterhin zeichnet sich das Trollweib durch unkonventionelles Benehmen aus. Das diesjährige Trollweib des Jahres ist unsere bekannte Stand-up-Komikerin: Shabana Rehman.

Sie erhält den Preis für ihren Einsatz für Integration und Gleichberechtigung und nicht zuletzt für ihren Mut, sie selbst zu sein. Mit Humor als Waffe hat sie für ihre Ziele gekämpft. Sie hat die Aufmerksamkeit der Leute erregt und sie zum Zuhören und Reflektieren bewegt. Shabana besitzt den Mut, über Tabus zu reden und sich sogar über sie lustig zu machen.Auf diese Art und Weise hat Shabana Rehman es geschafft, Verständnis und Offenheit zu fördern. Dies ist ein Schritt auf dem Weg dahin, Tabus auszumerzen und fremden Menschen vorurteilsfrei zu begegnen.

Else Mary Graneng has worked with Norwegian Trolls (Ny Form) for 25 years. She is now the head of the division for finishing and packing the trolls.

This divisions job is to put hair on the trolls and Else Mary is cuting fur to the hair. They are also giving the trolls eyes, hats, flaggs, walkingsticks and other equipments.Finaly they number the trolls and pack them for the stores.

Else Mary Graneng ha lavorato con i troll norvegesi Ny Form per 25 anni, ora è a capo della divisione per la finitura e l’imballaggio dei troll.

L’attività svolta in questa divisione consiste nel mettere i capelli ai troll, tagliati da Else Mary. Poi si mettono gli occhi, i cappelli, le bandierine, gli stivali da passeggio ed altri equipaggiamenti. Infine vengono numerati i troll ed imballati per la spedizione ai negozi.

Else Mary Graneng arbeitet seit 25 Jahren mit norwegischen Trollen (Ny Form). Heute ist sie die Leiterin der Abteilung für Endbearbeitung und Versand.

Die Aufgabe ihrer Abteilung besteht darin, die Trolle mit Haaren auszustatten, die Else Mary aus Pelz ausschneidet. Weiterhin rüstet ihre Abteilung die Trolle mit Augen, Hüten, Fahnen, Spazierstöcken und anderem Zubehör aus. Zum Schluss werden die Trolle nummeriert und für den Transport verpackt.

This time we want you to take a picture of a Norwegian troll on a famous landmark, one or another place in the world.

It could f. ex. be a Troll in a famous church, by a famous sculpture, tower or something else that is well-known. I am sure that several of you troll collectors live near by a monumental building or something else well-known all over the world. So, in the first place, I say: Grab your camera, and don’t forget a troll or two, and take a “snapshot” of the troll on it’s “circumnavigation of the globe”.

Secondly I want you to write a little bit about where the troll is, and what it has been doing there. Maybe you know what he is laughing so good about too? I challenge you to use your fantasy, and if I get good pictures and stories from you, I will publish them in the Club Magazine later (please write in English).

We will present the winner in the next issue of the club magazine, which you will find in the new club pack in your troll store some day in February.

The prize this time is a very special little troll (see the picture). This fellow was made especially for us some years ago, so he is a rare troll.

Madatemi la fotografia di un troll vicino ad un simbolo molto noto

Questa volta vi chiediamo di fotografare un troll norvegese insieme ad un simbolo famoso in qualsiasi parte del modo.

Per esempio potrebbe essere un troll in una chiesa famosa oppure vicino a una scultura, una torre o qualsiasi altra cosa universalmente conosciuta. Sono sicura che molti di voi collezionisti di troll vivete vicino ad edifici monumentali o a qualche altro simbolo molto noto. Quindi, vi invito a prendere la macchina fotografica, senza dimenticavi di portare con voi uno o due troll, ed a immortalare con un “clic” il vostro beniamino nella sua “circumnavigazione del globo”.

Inoltre vorrei scrivere qualcosa su dove si trovava il troll e su cosa stava facendo al momento dello scatto. Forse voi sapete perché sta ridendo così allegramente? Usate la vostra fantasia e, se riceverò belle fotografie e simpatici racconti, non esisterò a pubblicarli sulla rivista del club (per cortesia, se possibile, scrivete in inglese).

Presenteremo il vincitore nel prossimo numero della rivista, che troverete nel nuovo pacchetto club a partire dal prossimo febbraio 2005 nei negozi di troll. Questa volta il premio è la fotografia di un piccolo troll davvero speciale, creato appositamente per noi alcuni anni fa’ e quindi molto raro.

Wenn Du an diesem Gewinnspiele teilnehmen möchtest, dann fotografiere einen norwegischen Troll in der Nähe einer berühmten Sehenswürdigkeit irgendwo auf der Welt.

Sende mir zum Beispiel ein Bild von einem Troll vor einer bekannten Kirche, einer berühmten Skulptur, einem Turm oder ähnlichem. Ich bin sicher, dass einige von Euch Troll-Sammlern in der Nähe eines Denkmals oder bekannten Gebäudes wohnen. Das wichtigste ist also: Nimm als erstes Deine Kamera, sowie ein oder zwei Trolle und mach einen Schnappschuss von Deinem Troll auf „Weltreise“.

Schreibe danach einen kurzen Text darüber, wo der Troll war und was er erlebt hat. Vielleicht kannst Du uns auch mitteilen, worüber er auf dem Bild so lacht? Ich fordere Deine Phantasie heraus! Wenn ich gelungene Bilder und gute Geschichten bekomme, veröffentliche ich sie im nächsten Klub-Magazin (bitte schreibe den Text auf Englisch).

Der Gewinner wird in der nächsten Ausgabe des Klub-Magazins bekannt gegeben. What I think about trolls?Well... for me they are my best friends! Because they are always smiling and never angry or sad.I like their charming smile! They are living in my house now, and each troll has his own cosy place. I make the environment as nice as possible for them, just like in the woods where they live. My name is Alex Garavaglia. I live in Cilavegna (Italy). I discovered the trolls one year ago and I love them. My collection is of 18 trolls, including the 2002-2003 club troll. Here are some of my trolls, hiding in a shrub. Can you see them?

My name is Michela and I live in Pistoia. I am seventeen years old. I have collected troll since 1998. At the moment my collection is made of 108 trolls and among them are three giant ones. One of the latter has joined this big family not long ago, and in the near future I would like to buy the giant troll 221 also.

My name is Michielin Chiara and I’m a 13-year-old girl. Since November 2003 my father and I have been fascinated by Trolls and we decided to start a collection. Through a search on the internet we found some shops in Piedmont and Liguria, which sell Trolls, and so we decided to visit them all.....It was quite a hard job but now we are happy because we found a good number of this lovely little creatures.Together with a photo I’m sending here enclosed a drawing where I represented togheter four trolls already existing. I think this could be an idea for the new Club Troll for the year 2004. I’d like you consider this idea also because I’m already thinking of other kinds of trolls I’ll send you later on to help you find

ways to increase the number of these creatures.Our (mine and my father’s) collection is growing more and more especially because on every occasion we give each other a different Troll as a present. I really would like to give him once a Troll bigger than those we currently have. I know he would enjoy it very much but unfortunatly I’m still a student and I can’t afford such a cost. Even if my mother or my sister help me I couldn’t manage to buy the well-known Troll my father often mentions, no 211 which is 102 cm tall. Maybe in some years my mother, my sister and I will collect our money and give my father a real nice present.

Mein Name ist Michielin Chiara; ich bin ein 13 Jahre altes Mädchen aus Italien. Seit November 2003 sind mein Vater und ich von Trollen fasziniert, deshalb haben wir uns entschlossen, eine Sammlung aufzubauen. Mit Hilfe des Internets haben wir einige Geschäfte in Piemont und Ligurien gefunden, die Trolle verkaufen, und wir entschieden uns, sie alle zu besuchen…Zuerst war es ziemlich anstrengend, aber jetzt sind wir zufrieden, da wir einige der netten, kleinen Gestalten erwerben konnten. Zusammen mit einem Foto sende ich Dir ein Gemälde eines Trolls, den ich aus vier schon existierenden Trollen zusammengestellt habe. Dies könnte ein Vorschlag für den Klub-Troll 2004 sein. Ihr könnt ja mal über meinen Vorschlag nachdenken. Demnächst sende ich Euch weitere, neu von mir entworfene Trollskizzen. Ich habe nämlich Lust, Euch bei der Erweiterung Eures Angebots behilflich zu sein.Unsere Sammlung (die von meinem Vater und mir) wird größer und größer, besonders weil wir uns gegenseitig zu jedem passenden Anlass einen Troll schenken. Ich würde ihm sehr gerne einen Troll schenken, der größer ist als all diejenigen, die wir bereits haben. Ich weiß, dass er sich sehr darüber freuen würde, doch leider bin ich Schülerin und habe nicht so viel Geld. Selbst wenn meine Mutter oder meine Schwester mir finanziell behilflich wären, würde es für den gewünschten Troll, den mein Vater ständig erwähnt, Nr. 211, mit einer Größe von 102cm, nicht reichen. Vielleicht aber werden meine Mutter, meine Schwester und ich in einigen Jahren unser Geld zusammenlegen und meinem Vater ein wirklich schönes Geschenk machen.

Tramite una ricerca su Internet abbiamo trovato alcuni negozi in Piemonte e Liguria che vendono troll, così siamo andati a visitarli....E’ stata un’impresa non facile, ma adesso siamo felici perché abbiamo trovato un buon numero di queste amabili piccole creature.Oltre alla foto invio anche un disegno dove ho rappresentato insieme quattro troll già esistenti. Penso che potrebbe essere un’idea per il nuovo Club dei Troll 2004. Mi piacerebbe che prendeste in considerazione questa possibilità anche perché sto pensando ad altri tipi di troll che vi manderò successivamente, sperando di aiutarvi a trovare dei modi per aumentare il numero di queste creature.La nostra (mia e di mio padre) collezione sta crescendo sempre di più, specialmente perché ad ogni occasione ci scambiamo l’un l’altra un troll diverso come regalo. Una volta vorrei proprio comprargli un troll più grande rispetto a quelli che abbiamo. So che ne sarebbe molto felice, ma purtroppo sono ancora una studentessa e non posso spendere così tanto. Anche se mia madre o mia sorella mia aiutassero, non posso pensare di comprare il ben noto n. 211, alto 102 cm, che mio padre spesso nomina. Forse tra alcuni anni mia madre, mia sorella ed io avremo raccolto la somma di denaro per fare a mio padre un regalo veramente bello! Un forte abbraccio a tutti.

Hi, my name is Christina and I live in Lissone. I am sending you here enclosed some photos of our cheerful family... here we are celebrating the arrival of new Troll friends who have been staying with us since last Christmas (not all of them are presented on the photo as some had gone to the cellar to get some bottles of wine!) At the moment 45 Trolls are staying with us but the family will still grow!! I have made the Troll-juice on the picture myself as well as the cupboard and the pot...as a matter of fact our Trolls furnish the home and me and my husband are just guests!!! Everything started on the Christmas day some years ago.. when I heard voices from inside: they were my first 2 trolls!

And now some questions:– Why don’t you create curly-haired Trolls? Good question, never thought of that, but I will mention it to the fabric.

– Do meetings of Troll friends exist? If yes, how are they advertised?Yes, and they probably just publish it in the local press. In Norway there are trolldays in june every year. You can read about this years trolldays in this magazine.

– When will the next issue of the magazine be published?In the next club pack which will be in the troll stores during next february.

– Does a Trolls’ Norwegian internet site exist?Yes, you find it at www.flaaronning.no/troll/.

Hello, dear Troll fans colleagues! Dear manufacturers, I have just bought the 2003 Club Troll: It is so cute! Despite its beauty I must say that I was a little bit disappointed. Not only was I looking forward to receive as usual the box with the magazine inside, but after a long year of waiting I really thought of something much more original, that is something different! I am sure that many Troll fans like me enjoyed that nice box with a mysterious and longed for contents inside to be discovered and appreciated. Anyway... I am keen Ny Forms fan and I love trolls, they are so lovely little creatures. Every time I go on holiday I always take some of them with me. I also would like to cooperate with you. I am sending you some of the many photos I have with my trolls. As you can see they are always with me, also when I am celebrating the New Year. Now I have got 23 pieces and I look forward to continuing with my collection.I hope that you will never stop to manufacture these lovely little creatures. You are really special. Hei, mein Name ist Christina und ich wohne in Lissone (Italien). Ich bin Mitglied Nummer 2700 im Trollklub. Ich sende Euch hier einige Fotos von meiner fröhlichen Familie … Wir feiern gerade die Ankunft neuer Trollfreunde, die seit dem letzten Weihnachtsfest bei uns wohnen. (Nicht alle sind auf dem Photo zu sehen, da einige gerade in den Keller gegangen sind, um ein paar Flaschen Wein zu holen!) Zurzeit leben 45 Trolle bei uns, doch die Familie wird ständig größer! Auf einem der Photos kannst Du mich mit einer Flasche Troll-Saft sehen. Ich habe ihn selbst gemacht - genauso wie die Tasse und die Kanne … Tatsächlich verhält es sich ja so, dass die Trolle unser Haus einrichten und mein Mann und ich nur Gäste sind!!! Alles begann vor einigen Jahren am Weihnachtsabend … als ich plötzlich von Drinnen Stimmen hörte: Es waren meine ersten beiden Trolle!

Und hier einige Fragen:- Warum entwirfst Du keine Trolle mit Locken?Gute Frage, die Idee ist mir noch gar nicht gekommen, aber ich werde Deinen Vorschlag an die Produktionsleitung weiterleiten.- Gibt es Treffen von Trollliebhabern? Falls ja, wo werden sie angekündigt?Ja, wahrscheinlich werden sie in der Lokalzeitung angekündigt. In Norwegen gibt es jedes Jahr im Juni die Trolltage. Wir berichten darüber in dieser Ausgabe. - Wann wird die nächste Ausgabe des Magazins veröffentlicht?Die nächst Ausgabe erscheint zusammen mit dem neuen Klub-Angebot, das ab Februar nächsten Jahres in den Geschäften erhältlich ist.- Gibt es eine norwegische Internetseite zum Thema „Trolle“?Ja, auf dieser Seite: www.flaaronning.no/troll/

Hallo, liebe Trollfreunde! Liebe Hersteller! Ich habe soeben den 2003 Klub-Troll gekauft: Er ist so süß! Trotz seiner Schönheit war ich ein kleines bisschen enttäuscht. Wie immer habe ich mich - wie viele andere auch - auf die Schachtel mit dem Magazin gefreut, aber nach so langer Zeit des Wartens dachte ich wirklich, ich bekomme etwas Außergewöhnliches, etwas wirklich anderes! Ich bin sicher, dass sich viele Trollfreude genauso wie ich darauf gefreut haben, die schöne Schachtel mit dem mysteriösen und lang erwarteten Inhalt zu entdecken und zu bewundern, aber … Trotzdem bin ich natürlich ein treuer Ny Form-Fan und ich liebe Trolle. Sie sind wirklich sympathische Geschöpfe. Jedes Mal, wenn ich in den Urlaub fahre, nehme ich einige von ihnen mit. Ich würde auch gerne mit Euch zusammenarbeiten. Ich schicke Euch eine Auswahl der Fotos, die ich von mir und meinen Trollen gemacht habe. Wie Ihr seht, sind sie immer bei mir, sogar auf der Sylvesterfeier. Im Moment besitze ich 23 Trolle und ich freue mich darauf, meine Sammlung zu vergrößern. Ich hoffe, Ihr stellt die Produktion dieser liebenswerten kleinen Geschöpfe niemals ein. Ciao, mi chiamo Christina e vivo a Lissone (MI). Sono la socia n. 2700 del Club dei Troll. Vi mando in allegato alcune fotografie della nostra graziosa famiglia... qui stiamo celebrando l’arrivo di nuovi amici troll che sono con noi dallo scorso Natale (non tutti sono presenti perché qualcuno di loro era andato in cantina a prendere delle bottiglie di vino!) Al momento vivono insieme a noi 45 troll, ma la famiglia crescerà sicuramente!!In una delle fotografie potete vedermi mentre sollevo una bottiglia di succo dei troll, che ho preparato con le mie mani, così come il bicchiere e la tazza...in pratica i nostri troll arredano la casa ed io e mio marito siamo solo ospiti !!! Tutto è iniziato un Natale di qualche anno fa’…quando ho sentito delle vocine dall’interno: erano i miei primi 2 troll!

Ed ora alcune domande:– Perché non create anche troll con i capelli ricci?Bella domanda, non ci abbiamo mai pensato, ma lo riferirò alla fabbrica.– Organizzate raduni di amici dei troll? Se sì, come li segnalate?Sì, e probabilmente sono pubblicati sui giornali locali. In Norvegia si celebrano ogni anno a giugno le giornate dei troll. Salve, cari colleghi fan dei troll! Cari produttori, ho appena comprato il troll del Club 2003: è così carino! Nonostante la sua bellezza, devo dire che sono un po’ dispiaciuta. Non solo mi aspettavo di ricevere come al solito la scatola contenente la rivista, ma dopo un anno di lunga attesa, speravo davvero in qualcosa di più originale, mentre ho trovato tutt’altro! Sono sicura che molti fan dei troll come me sarebbero stati felici di ricevere una bella scatola con un contenuto misterioso, da scoprire ed apprezzare. Comunque... resto una fan dei troll Ny Form e li amo sempre molto, perché sono piccole creature deliziose. Ogni volta che vado in vacanza ne porto alcuni con me. Mi piacerebbe anche cooperare con voi. Vi mando alcune delle molte foto che ho con i miei troll. Come potete vedere, stiamo spesso insieme, anche a Capodanno. Adesso possiedo 23 troll e prevedo di continuare la mia collezione. Spero che non smettiate mai di produrre queste piccole e graziose creature. Per me voi siete davvero speciali.
