$3.7m scholarship offeringsThe class received an approximate $3.7 million in scholarship offerings, of which $422,500 in scholarship offerings were accepted.
OUR MISSIONOxford preparatory school’s purpose is to graduate future leaders who have completed a rigorous curriculum, performed community service, and developed an appreciation of the arts in preparation for the challenges of the college of their choice. With support from our diverse community, we will cultivate intellectual curiosity in well-rounded students by engaging in critical thinking and experiential learning.
Grades 6–8Rigorous courses are designed to prepare students for success in college prep high school courses.
High school creditStudents ready for acceleration can take up to seven courses for high school credit.
Success SeminarA Success Seminar course is offered to all new students to assist with the transition to a new school and its expectations.
college visits7th & 8th graders visit a college campus each year to learn about the opportunities, admission requirements, and campus culture of various schools.

Service LearningAll students are required to complete at least 15 hours of community service with area non-profits for promotion.
Service opportunities are made available with a variety of nonprofits in the community.
Grades 9–12 Rigorous courses and graduation requirements are designed to exceed expectations to selective four year colleges and universities. High school course acceleration is available to capable lower school students.
AP® courses OFFEREDAP courses are available to accelerated students as early as the 9th grade, and 100% of OPS students take an AP course before graduating. The following AP® courses are offered with in-person instruction:

College & Career Promise ProgramThe College and Career Promise Program (CCP) enables juniors and seniors to enroll in courses at Vance-Granville Community College and earn college credits at no additional cost.
Courses are taken at the college campus and are taught by college professors.
Students can earn more than 30 credit hours in the two years they are enrolled in the program. 46% of our junior and senior classes participate in this program.
Senior SeminarAll seniors are required to take a Senior Seminar course that gives support with the college application, scholarships, and the financial aid process.
college visits9th graders visit two college campuses each year to learn about the opportunities, admission requirements, and campus culture of various schools. 10th–12th graders have the opportunity to visit colleges across the state on various overnight trips.
