The diagram below shows two equal sized squares. Calculate the size of angle x. Show your working clearly and explain your reasoning.

Apex angle of the triangle = 180o – 130o = 50o (Angle sum triangle)The triangle has two equal sides and so is isosceles with base angles equal.

The three angles opposite angle x sum to 90o + 50o + 90o = 230o

Angle x = 360o - 230o = 130o (Angles at a point)
