This magazine is very soft looking, Almost cartoon like, it is aimed to fit a childish reader audience, this is portrayed through the soft colours, cheesy grins, and cartoon like writing. The mast head stands out by its bubble like font and the white outline making it seem as if it glowing. The main image is very conventional and cheesy for a young girly magazine with the fresh looking smiles and warm body language. The main cover line ‘Kiss and tell’ gives us a sense of immaturity and secretiveness. Again the font is very bubbly making it seem very fairytale and false.

Mixmag

I love this magazine The simpleness of the background blending into the main image is very effective. The main image itself is also very effective the seriousness like he is taking what he believes in seriously the glasses he is wearing gives him a sense on mystery. The random yellow t shirt in the main image also really stands out. The Mast head is awesome the soft pink stands out compared to the rest and seems very bubbly and fun. The cover lines very original in the left third but are made interesting by them being diagonal and a symmetric like.

Blender Magazine

This Magazine is very bold and straight to the point. Its very conventional displaying cover lines down the left third. The masthead is very sharp looking and in a gold colour making it seem very important. The colour scheme is very simple but effective. There is some sex appeal portrayed in the main image, with her lack of clothing , promiscuous stance and sexual facial expressions. This would make it seem as if the magazine is aiming for a male audience.

NME Magazine

I Like this magazine its very bold and is really successful at catching the readers eye The Main image is almost like jumping of the page and what I would could call stunning. The blank expression on Lilly Allen's face is really effective as she looks like a doll. She looks drained and ill almost like a ‘scene kid’ which suits the genre of the magazine (punk like). The mast head really stands out the red basic font with a white outline almost as if it is glowing. The main cover line also really stands out using the simple but effective black on white text and different sized fonts. I really like the colour scheme of this front cover I think it is very dramatic and effective making it appeal to a unisex audience but I would say for punk rockers. I would use the word ‘Hardcore’ to describe this magazine and it seems to be wanted to be taken very seriously.
