    As one of the largest engineering colleges in the world with 6 constituent Schools,16,000 students, 600 faculty and 1,200 non-faculty staff, the College of Engineeringoffers a rich array of multidisciplinary programmes and specialisations catering tothe varied interests, talents and career aspirations of students.

    We aim to nurture well-rounded engineer leaders who are flexible across disciplinesand not limited by national boundaries. The holistic and versatile education youreceive at the College gives you a strong and sustainable foundation for an excitingfuture, diversity in engineering professions and global leadership.

    All the engineering programmes are accredited. For some, we are seeking renewalof accreditation under the new Washington Accord through the Engineering

    Programmes Offered Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

    This programme amalgamates principles of chemical engineering and lifesciences (biology, biochemistry and genetics) to facilitate the developmentof safe, profitable and environment-friendly processes for the synthesisand manufacture of products from chemical/biological raw materials.

    Bachelor of Engineering in Bioengineering

    This programme blends modern biological principles with advancedengineering methods in electronics, materials, mechanics, biocomputingand informatics to train high standard engineers for biomedical andbiotechnology industries as well as healthcare and clinical services.

    Double Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical & BiomolecularEngineering or Bioengineering) & Bachelor of Arts (Economics)

    These five-year programmes, offered by the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering and the Schoolof Humanities and Social Sciences, aim to equip you with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of Chemicaland Biomolecular Engineering or Bioengineering, as well as in the principles and knowledge of Economics.The combined technical and analytical skills will be highly valued in the competitive economy.

    In the first year, you will receive strong grounding in the disciplines of

    chemical biology, structural and computational biology, molecular andcell biology, and genetics and genomics. You will then go on to specialiseand focus on current topics such as neurobiology, cancer biology,immunology, infectious diseases, stem cell biology and drug discovery.In the final year, you will undertake full-time project work for an entiresemester, entering into either laboratory-based research or other keyareas within the Life Sciences industry.

    Double Degree in Bachelor of Science (Honours) in BiomedicalSciences & Bachelor of Chinese Medicine ( )

    This unique five-year double degree programme elegantly blends thewestern approach to Biomedical Sciences with Traditional Chinese

    Medicine. The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Sciencescomponent is taught in English and is conferred by NTU while the Bachelorof Chinese Medicine ( ) is conducted in Mandarin and isconferred by the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM).     Part 1 These are compulsory assignments to fulfil A portfolio or demo reel of personal artwork, including projects developed

    in secondary education. The portfolio should demonstrate general artisticproficiency plus ability in the desired area of BFA expertise (i.e. animation,photography, design, etc)

    A short written composition in English of no more than 400 words explainingwhy you are uniquely qualified to enter a specific BFA programme

    Part 2 Please submit three (3) pieces from an assigned set of fourdesigns that will demonstrate your abilities in the areas of: Conceptual and Visual Problem Solving. Using visual elements and symbols,

    create a composition that visually describes a verbal metaphor.

    Design Ability. Using a set of defined elements - spatial, conceptualstructural, and possible even auditory stimuli, design a 3D form or spatialenvironment that satisfies the stated design brief.

    Narrative and Storytelling. Using a set of images write a story in a maximumof 3 paragraphs.

    Drawing and Visualization. Create a drawing of a specific object,demonstrating your skill in handling pencil or pen on paper.

    These assignments are to be completed in a specific material and size requirement.The specific assignments are available on the School of Art, Design and Media website.
