National School Program In 2008, The First Tee developed and distributed an integrated, detailed survey to over 325 physical education professionals delivering The First Tee National School Program as a part of their schools’ elementary physical education programs. The survey polled physical educators on four key program areas: Curriculum, Equipment, Training and Impact of Core Values on students. The information below provides a synopsis of the feedback results: 1. Curriculum o 75% rated the curriculum as “excellent” and 23% as “good” o 98% reported that students enjoyed learning about golf via the National School Program o 100% of teachers reported that the National School Program lessons help students learn basic golf motor skills and concepts o 49% of teachers reported that the National School Program training and lessons has influenced the methods they use when teaching other P.E. activities 2. Equipment o 99% evaluated the SNAG equipment as developmentally appropriate and effective for elementary students 3. Training o 87% of teachers are interested in updates and best practices and 75% are interested in additional training 4.
