End-to-end Solutions

The Siemens SURPASS hiX 5625 / 5630 /5635 is an innovative platform for Access Networks to provide Broadband services on the last mile of the network. It is an Ethernet based platform. Carrier Grade redundancy for Power, Fan, Central Card and Uplink as well as End to End Management make DSLAMs failure proof. The access to the customer is provided over the existing copper without additional investment in the infrastructure. Its high-speed interfaces are suitable for asymmetrical and symmetrical applications such as super-fast Internet access, teleworking/ telelearning, video conferencing, virtual private networking and streaming multimedia content and videos. It provides all flavors of broadband Interfaces like ADSL2+, VDSL2 (next release) and SHDSL / SHDSL.bis in addition to VoIP line cards. Siemens SURPASS hiX 5625 / 5630 / 5635 IP DSLAM family also allows secure high-speed applications for business customers like LAN — to-LAN or Voice services over broadband.

DSLAM Specifications

General

System Architecture

New M1100 shelf for hiX 5635

M1100 shelf is a better design meeting customer requirements more closely and will replace the M1200 shelf. It is a variant for the M1200 shelf with the only difference of one less slot than M1200. The reduction of one slot offers advantages like easy access for external interfaces reducing
