About the euregio rhine-meuse-north

German name: euregio rhein-maas-nord Dutch name: euregio rijn-maas-noord

• founded in 1978 as a voluntary cooperation between cities• since 2004 Dutch-German administration union (»Zweckverband«) regulated

by German law

• currently 33 members municipalities, chambers of commerce• most densely populated euregio at the Dutch-German border (520 people/km²)

• 9 employees• located at the euregio-house in Mönchengladbach
