October: Le Bonheur Children’s

Medical Center

We had an excellent presenta-tion from Kavanaugh Casey, Meri Armour, and Jennilyn Utkov on how the hospital planned for and exceded its $100 million goal to build a new Le Bonheur. It was a valuable insight on how all areas of a nonprofit organi-zation can come together for a more-than-successful out-come, with benefits for all ar-eas of the organization.

AFP & The Nonprofit Resource Center at the Memphis Library

Each month, our chapter makes a gift of a book to the Nonprofit Resource Center, located in the main branch of the Memphis Public Library. A bookplate is placed inside the front cover acknowledging that the book was given in honor of that month’s luncheon speaker.

As you can see from the list below, these are valuable re-sources for any development professional. Furthermore, many of the books were purchased because they are on the reading list for the CFRE examination. It is a another way that AFP-Memphis tries to provide educational and professional tools to both the membership and the com-munity. These are the books donated in 2009:
