November 30, 2015 Dear Parent or Guardian, The Houston Independent School District is recommending minor changes to the attendance boundaries for Crockett, Harvard, Ketelsen, and Travis elementary schools. The proposed boundary changes affect no students at Harvard, Ketelsen or Travis elementary schools. Two students currently zoned to Crockett Elementary will be affected, however, accommodations will be made to provide an option for those students to either remain at Crockett or attend their newly zoned school. These changes are proposed in order to align school attendance boundaries with current freeway networks so that hazardous crossings over Interstate 10 can be eliminated and to allow better connectivity between neighborhoods and schools. Attached to this letter are maps of the current and proposed attendance boundaries. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the principal of your school. Sincerely, Susan Kaler Officer, Student Support Services
