THANK YOU! - THANKSGIVING GIFT CARDS AND FOOD PANTRY Thank you to everyone for your donations to the THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS. The Food Pantry gave food baskets to 35 area families this Thanksgiving. Your continued help is greatly appreciated! We also were able to give FOOD CARDS to 13 area families. Your donations are very much appreciated.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE Thank you to everyone who helped in any way with the Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service held this past Tuesday at St. Augustine Church and the refreshments that were served at Neumann Hall. Your help is greatly appreciated!

CHRISTMAS GIFT CARDS AND/OR FOOD PANTRY

If you know anyone who needs a CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKET, please call Rosalynd Perlick at (570-663-2212), as soon as possible. Donations of ham or money to purchase ham would be appreciated. Other food items are needed as well.

We also have (13) area families ranging in size from 1 person to 6 people, on our list to receive FOOD CARDS. If you know of anyone that needs help, please let us know by December 14th. If you have put someone on the list in the past and they no longer need help, please let us know. Donations for both Food Cards & Food Pantry are needed by no later than December 18th.

All donations for FOOD CARDS or HAM for the FOOD BASKETS should be put in an envelope in the collection and marked “Attention Kay”. All donations are greatly appreciated. DONATIONS FOR THE FOOD PANTRY SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO ‘THE FOOD PANTRY’. WHEN MAKING DONATIONS TO THE FOOD PANTRY, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT NO FOOD IS “OUT OF DATE”.

CHRISTMAS CANTATA

A joint Christmas Cantata will be held with Little Meadows Methodist Church on Friday, December 11th, at 7:00PM, at the Little Meadows United Methodist Church. Practice will be held on Tuesday evenings at 6:00PM at St. Francis Church. All are welcome to attend. Anyone who would like to join the Choir for this occasion would be very welcome.

REQUEST FOR LOTTERY CALENDARS We are taking requests for special Lottery Calendar numbers. Please call the rectory by Tuesday, December 1st to reserve your numbers. Special numbers will be reserved on a first come first served basis.

Update on the Annual Diocesan Appeal at St. Brigid Parish: To date our Appeal totals are: 98 out of 346 Parish Families have pledged to the 2015 Diocesan Annual Appeal. Our goal is $ 24,000. So far the total amount raised towards our Appeal goal is $ 17,843.00. We are under our goal by $ 6,157.00. Thank you to everyone who has already made a pledge. Your help is greatly appreciated.

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON Our Parish is participating a special collection for the upcoming Christmas Season. We ask for your help in reaching our goal for this collection. We are collection 250 boxes of Hot Chocolate Mix for the Susquehanna County Christmas Bureau. This group provides the ingredients for Christmas Dinner for low income families in Susquehanna County. A box is in the back of the Church for these donations. The deadline for donations is Monday, December 7th. (Hot Chocolate Mix is available at the Dollar stores at better prices than the grocery stores.)

ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST

The Little Meadows Fire Company will hold an all you can eat breakfast THIS Sunday, November 29th, from 7AM to 11AM, at Whitetails Bar, Little Meadows. Price is $8.00 adult $4.00 children. Benefits the Little Meadows Fire Company. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage gravy with biscuits, home fries, baked goods, and beverages. All are invited to attend and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

MOM’S HOUSE BENEFITS

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Breakfast with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 5th, from 8 to 11:30AM at Endwell United Methodist Church, 33-1 Watson Boulevard, Endwell. Tickets will be available at the door. Cost for adults is $ 6.00; children ages 5-12—$ 4.00; children under 5 are FREE. Pictures with Santa will be $ 3.00. There will be a Holiday Bake Sale and Live Christmas Music.

STAR OF BETHLEHEM MOVIE

STAR OF BETHLEHEM MOVIE will be shown at the Kopernik Observatory & Science Center, 698 Underwood Road, Vestal, on Friday, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18. This fascinating documentary unlocks the mystery of the Star of Bethlehem by relating scientific knowledge about astronomy and historical clues from the bible. Doors open at 6:30PM and the movie begins at 7PM. Admission $5 adults, $3 seniors/students, $16 family max, includes telescope viewing after movie (if clear). ALTAR & ROSARY KNIFE RADA SALE St. Brigid Altar & Rosary Society is selling Rada knives as an on-going fund raiser. Orders can be placed with a member of the Altar & Rosary or can be placed on-line by going online to www.helpourfundraiser.com and use customer number 504671. The password is mrsa01pw. Do not use capital letters in the password. Many other items such as Cookbooks, stoneware, no-bake cheesecakes, pound cakes, dips, seasonings, marinades, soups, sauces, and cheeseballs are available thru Rada Cutlery.

MESSAGE FROM FR. CAS

For the next few weeks, I am including in the bulletin items of interest that I thought you might like to read concerning the Church and Diocese of Scranton. Many times throughout the week people ask me questions and the answers can be found in these articles. I hope that they are as informative to you as they were to me. These items will be the second bulletin insert.

PARISH PRAYER CHAIN If you would like to help respond to prayer requests (for anyone in need), please contact Rosalynd Perlick (570-663-2212), Susie Reichlen (570-553-2618), or Mary Keenan (570-553-2431). If you have prayer requests, please call anyone on the list and many prayers will be offered for your particular intention.

AVAILABLE IN OUR CHURCHES The Little Blue Books for Advent, The Word Among Us, and The Catholic Digest are available in the back of Church. Please take a copy home with you.

CHRISTMAS FLOWER ENVELOPES Please remember that Christmas Flower Donation Envelopes are in your envelope boxes. A space is on the back for memorials. These donations help to pay the cost of the poinsettias that will adorn our Churches this Christmas Season.

BIBLE STUDY Bible Study is held Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00AM at Neumann Hall. New members are always welcome.

2ND ANNUAL SNOWMAN PATH The 2nd Annual Snowman Path will be held on Saturday, December 5th from 10AM to 4Pm. Enjoy a day out for a self guided tour of local businesses. Travel from shop to shop to find a variety of handmade gifts, primitives, candles, furni-ture, flowers, baked goods and more. Enjoy lunch along the way. Participating locations are: Heft ’s Buy and Sell; The Cabin Country Store; The Candle Barn, MT Cupboard Bakery; Ramey’s Country Corner; Dotti-Lou Meats; Flynn’s Greenhouse & Crafts; and Lym-Green Florist. The Rush Auxiliary Hall will have a soup kitchen available for lunch along with a craft and bake sale. All proceeds will go to the Rush Township Revitalization Playground Project.
