Anyone and of ALL ages are welcome to attend.
Let’s get started with shooting sports! We estimate there are about 90 that have not re-enrolled yet so club leaders please let anyone know in your clubs that might be interested. Over the next few week, we will decide on a shooting time and day. Until we decide different, show up at the pavilion at 2 pm Sunday, December 2nd, 9th, and 17th, 2018. We will get organized and shoot Archery, Air Rifle and Air Pistol. We have a new Archery leader here in Columbus, so we are excited. For new folks we will try and shoot every week, depending on sched-ules, holidays and new leaders we recruit. You are not required to make every meeting, however, if you want to compete and get better, it is highly encouraged to attend as many as you can. Bring a friend!
Upcoming Events Mad about math (or not)?
Here is a great opportunity for you and your 4-H kids to do math that matters.
We have a unique opportunity in Stillwater County. Lee has installed 6 weather stations with sensors that measure soil moisture. Over the next year we will be developing mathematical models and tools that will use the data collected from the soil moisture sensors and the weather suite to help farmers, ranchers, and land mangers in Stillwater County and around the state. These models and tools will help provide more information to manage drought, grow grass and manage crops. MSU math wizards will come to you to help us develop these tools. THEN, you as students get to come to MSU next summer (2019) for a camp that fea-tures the projects and activities that you and others from across the state have identified. We are looking for teams of 4-5 kids and an adult mentor. If you are interested, please contact us at the Extension Office and we’ll get started.
