GET RE.A.L. Student Ministries—Nov. 20 @ 6:30 pm

Meet at the Youth Center and join us for a scavenger hunt

for items for a Thanksgiving Dinner. You never know where they are lurking. When you have found all the

items, return to the Youth Center for a great time of fun.

Prime Time Senior Adult Ministry—Every Tuesday

@ 10 am we meet for dominoes and fellowship at church. Bring your lunch.

Nov. 8—Lunch at Red Lobster @ 1 pm

Nov. 17—Pastor Roger provides lunch

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Against such there is no law.

Least of These Breakfast—Nov. 13 @ 6 am Minister to the marginalized of Waco by volunteering to serve breakfast. Sign up online or see Karrie Horn. Live Drive Through Nativity—Dec. 11-13 Now is the time to sign up to participate in our annual Live Drive Through Nativity. We need EVERYONE! This is our gift to the community. Sign up online or see Bill or Thela Hinnen. Nativity set up is Dec. 5 at 9 am. See Susan Lane if you can help with costumes—cleaning and sewing.

Hanging of the Greens Service—Nov. 29 6 pm The Hanging of the Greens Service ushers in the Holy Season known as Advent. It is a time when we prepare ourselves for the coming of our Messiah. Advent means "Coming." We celebrate these days of Advent in expectation and

preparation for Christ's arrival.

Through the centuries, Christians have observed a time of waiting and expectation before celebrating the birth of the Savior at Christmas. The Advent season is a time for reflection and preparation, but its mood is joyful. Advent has been

enriched by Christian tradition to reflect its distinctive Christian meaning. It proclaims the revelation of God's love as

expressed in Christ's birth in a humble stable, His sacrificial death on the cross, and His victorious resurrection! It points to the hope of Christ's coming again as the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Advent makes innkeepers out of all of us,

asking each of us to make room for the arrival of Christ The King.

Join us for this celebration as we ready the sanctuary and our hearts for Christmas. All ages are participating in the

service—children to senior adults. After the service we share cookies and hot chocolate (or punch, depending on our weather!) Put this date on your calendar and watch for upcoming detail for this meaningful time together.

Opportunities to Fellowship and Serve Opportunities to Give this Season Operation Christmas Child—Our children are

raising money to purchase items for their shoe box.

They have the opportunity to see how much things

cost, and how they can personally help a child

experience the love of Jesus through a Christmas

box. See one of our children today to donate.

Mission Waco Toy Drive—We begin collecting toys

next Sunday to give to Mission Waco. Do not wrap

the toys and leave the price tag on the item. Low-

income families are able to purchase the items from

Mission Waco at 80% off the regular price of the

item so they can shop with dignity for their children.

An insert is in your bulletin with some suggestions of

items that are popular.

Place the items in the sleigh in the foyer. The Riders

of the Son, local Christian Biker group, will pick up

the items Sunday morning, Nov. 29, during the

Sunday School hour. Be sure and be here for that!

Volunteer to donate Thanksgiving meal items to GET

R.E.A.L. Student Ministries for their “Turkey Chase”

on November 20. See Brad for more information.
