Outlook for November Residential real estate data for Torrance during November 2013 reveals market activity is trending

downward relative to the month previous. Asides from improvements in the sales/listings ratio and

months of inventory turnover, decreases in performance measurements for total sales, median sales

price, median days to sell, and listing were recorded. However, despite this information there is no reason

to be concerned as real estate market activity typically slows during the holiday season, historically

speaking. On the bright side, the median sales price in 2013 versus 2012 climb 4.3% or $23K.

The forecast for December is not unlike November in that overall market performance is expected to

produce similar results. With this in mind, here are a couple of things to remember: 1) Buyers, mortgage

interest rates remain at historically low levels but may be going up soon once the Fed begins QE tapering,

and 2) Sellers, as the quantity of listings decline so does the competition.
