A big THANK YOU to all who donated cakes for the October lunch, and to our wonderful singers and entertainers, especially Jimmy and Horace Santa Maria.
God bless and take care. Seniors Coordinator Joan Reincastle 92769439/ 0419906719
Due to the increase in the price of food and utilities, it was agreed at the October Management Committee meeting that effective from November 2010, the price of the main meals will be in-creased to $6 instead of $5 and the cold drinks to $1.50 instead of $1.00.
Prices of side dishes, cakes, coffee and tea will remain the same. I wish to take this opportunity to thank all our cooks who generously volunteer so much time, effort and resources to ensure that our members are able to enjoy a variety of dishes at an affordable price. Thank you to Philip De Mello and his band of volunteers who without fail are there each month to ensure everyone is adequately refreshed with a variety of drinks.
And finally a big thank you to all the regular helpers in the kitchen. All your efforts are much appreciated.

Hope to see you all there at this special lunch. Genevieve De Souza ________________________________________________________________________
Normal lunch proceedings will continue with entertainment being provided by a group of very talented dancers. Thank you Alfonso Soliano for your help with the music and thank you Selina our ‗belly dancer‘ at the September Fathers Day lunch. A big thank you as well to Clifford Se-querah and Mel Nerva for their help with the music at the October Seniors lunch and to the wonderful quintet voices of ‗The Hope Street Harmony Singers‘. Thanks to all singers who came on stage as well! Great job!!!
Entertainment for the March 2010 lunch will be a ―Musical Soiree‖.
This means YOU…our own members will come up and perform! This is NOT a competition but a showcase of our own talents. We have a wonderful pool of talented singers and musicians…lets share our talents. I will be collecting performance details at the November lunch. You have 3 months to practise (Nov, Dec & Jan)!!!! PICNIC AT THE GREENS‘ Well, well, well, a picnic in someone‘s ―Backyard‖, backyard? — more like a small country! Well, thanks to the ―GREENS‖ (Thelma & Brian) a GREAT time was had by one and all. Our Maestro, Chad and his ever faithful sidekick Alan produced an entertaining night of ―Karaoke‖, that‘s ‗Car-Row-Keh‘ not ‗kara-oak-key‘ (and that‘s straight from the horse‘s mouth – a Japanese one). Thanks to Phillip for that evil device called a ―Karaoke-machine‖ (you know how to pronounce the first word, the second word is ‗mar-sheen‘ not ―Mac-Hi-Knee‖. Also a big thanks to Dennis for the firewood, the Bonfire was magnificent – the warmth was fantastic, could have done without the SMOKE. It was a lovely picnic with plenty of food and drink, and thank you to everyone who sang. I think Phillip‘s machine needs a little ‗Tune-up‘ as the scores did not always portray the quality of the singing (or maybe I had too much ―Drinkie-poo‘s‖). To those who missed out, maybe next time. Thanks to all. Graeme...
