• Places for refuge and areas for beaching have been mapped
• Territorial waters are expanded from 4 nm til 12 nm
• Mandatory traffic lanes are established in Northern Waters
• ”Routeing” is beeing considered outside the territorial waters
• VTS – 4 are established, one is planned to be in operation from 2007
• Automatic Identification System will be in operation for the whole coastline in 2004
• Cooperation with Russia• Phase- out schedule for single hulled
tankers
