Our class book is called Hodgeheg and is wrien by Dick King Smith. Aspen class have been wearing our creave green thinking hats and our blue process hats to produce a story map. We have used our Talk for wring acons and meaningful drawings to help us retell the story. We are eager to keep on reading our interesng book! We have also been using our blue process hats in our maths this week. We have been talking about Months of the year, me and schedules. We made our very own metables using me conjuncons to order the events. Aspen class have been very busy this week working hard. Acorn Class In Acorn class we have been exploring traditional stories and fairy tales as part of our Cornerstones curriculum. Each afternoon we have used drama to recreate the stories ‘Three little pigs and Goldilocks and the three bears’. In our classroom we have a giant beanstalk as our role play area. On Monday we planted our own beans and are waiting to see if they grow into beanstalks just like Jacks from the story! We have also been exploring how to be healthy, our conclusion was we can eat anything we want as long as it is in moderation! In maths we have been exploring number, looking at one more and one less than a given number as well as ordering numbers which we have used when we have been retelling stories! I am so impressed with Acorn class for all their reading they are doing at home, so many children have completed their leaves for our tree!
