Firefly Lake Campground Northern Highland American Legion State Forest dnr.wi.gov (search keywords “Northern Highland”) Welcome! Firefly Lake Campground, sites 201-271, is very popular and located in the central poron of the forest. This 27-acre lake offers excellent swimming opportunies with its crystal clear water and fine-sand beach. Canoers and kayakers populate these waters oſten for great photo moments. A carry-in boat landing is available within the campground, or a landing and parking area is located on the west side of the lake – no boat motors are allowed. This campground is only about one-half mile from the Crystal Lake beach and picnic area. Camping reservaons are required and can be made for the same day of your arrival or up to 11 months in advance of your planned date of occupancy. Campers must make a reservaon before seng up on any site. A carry-in boat landing is available within the campground, or a landing and parking area is located on the west side of the lake – no boat motors are allowed. Campground Rules• Upon arrival, all campers should proceed directly to their reserved campsite after the designated check-in time of 3 p.m. • Check-out Time: Must vacate site by 3 p.m. on the last day of the permit. • Campground/Day-use Areas and Closing Time: Campground closed to nonregistered campers 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. • Pets must be on a leash at all times and not left unattended. • Noise may not interfere with the enjoyment of the forest by others.

• Generators may be used from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. • Camping Party: A “non-family group” may not exceed six persons. A “family” is limited to parents with their dependent children and not more than two guests. • A State Parks and Forest Admission Sticker is required for camping. • For complete rules and regulations, see Chapter NR 45, Wis.
