Intermediate districts are specialty school districts that provide defined shared student services to a group of K-12 member school districts.Quick Facts:• Minnesota has four intermediate school districts• Combined, the four serve more than 20,000 students across

45 member districts.• Intermediates offer specialized educational programs and

services to member districts that, individually, find it difficult to provide on a smaller scale.

communication needs in a structured and safe learning environment• Learning and support services are delivered based on documented

individualized education plans (IEP)• Services Include:

• Parents report that their children like, and want to come to school first time ever

• Greek for “complete beauty”• Creative Arts theme with four neighborhoods –

Harmony, Mosaic, Kaleidoscope, Symphony• Design Improvements: – Natural light will be visible in all classrooms as well as

the common areas– The seclusion rooms will be designed with softer walls

and colors to provide a more calming environment – The small windows in the classrooms at elementary

student height (pictured above) have been popular. In the new design, these windows will be deeper and include a bench
