Be able to choose, use and vary simple tactics OUTCOMES All - begin to use skills thoughtfully in simple competitive games. Most - make choices about appropriate targets and space. Some – Will begin to make early decisions based on targets and space available . PHYSICAL LITERACY Body Ball – Place balls around the area, players move around the area in different ways, forward, backwards, sideways, hopping, skipping, jumping, crawling. The coach will say a body part and players place that body part on the ball. Only one player per ball. Progression – Players dribble the ball around the area and place body on the balls. Coaching points – Body control, scanning, change of speed and direction. TECHNICAL
Fakes and Feints – Players dribble around the area when they arrive at a cone, players stop the ball do a fake of their choice and move to another cone. Example Fakes – Stop-Start, Lunge fake, Fake shot. Progression – Can players do fakes on the move between cones – Introduce new moves to players that need new challenge, Step over, Matthew. Introduce a defender/s (coaches) can players go around. Coaching points – Head up, attack space, change direction, change speed, inside, outside, laces.
