Also we would like to substitute Servco Fabrication for Conover specified items 3, 7, 10 and 17.

No, we are not approving Servco as an approved equal to the three named manufactures (Conover Custom Fabrication, LTI, IEI) for these items

3 Also may be substitute Captive Aire or Accurex which are two of the leading hood manufacturers on item 18.

No, we are not approving CaptiveAire or Accurex as we do not feel that they are an equal to Avtec.

4 I see Alternate #1 listed on the bid form, but do not find any further definition in Section #012300.

Pls describe Alternate #1, if any.

The existing structure is a structural concrete slab, per our notes it is to be saw cut. No additional reinforcement is required. Keynote D3 revised to state “SAW CUT NEW OPENING IN EXISTING CONCRETE SLAB FOR MECHANICAL PENETRATIONS. DO NOT OVERCUT AT OPENING. LOCATE AND MINIMIZE THE NUMBER OF EXISTING STEEL REBARS TO BE CUT DURING CONSTRUCTION/CORING OF THE NEW OPENINGS. REFER TO MECHANICAL DWGS FOR MORE INFORMATION”

7 What is the existing structure made of? The existing structure is one-way concrete slab with concrete beams and columns. See attached Exhibit 1 for further information.

8 What is floor to deck heights? 1st floor to deck height is 9’-3”, all dimensions to be verified in field.

9 What is the roof type and warranty? The roof is Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE) roofing system. The owner is to verify the warranty at a later date.

10 Are liquidated damages required? No, there are no liquidated damages on this project

11 Is the Unit Price Form for the kitchen equipment as part of specification section 114000 required to be completed for bid?

Yes – this form is required

12 Item 17 calls for a s/s utility chase from the top of a half wall to 2” above ceiling. Says to refer to plan, elevation & sections – there are none. Do you have this page?

Per the plan, we see Item #17 as a chase from the top of the low height wall 8" x 18" to 2" above the ceiling with all dimensions to be field verified, constructed out of a fully welded 16 gauge S/S material and coordinated with the S/S top cap on the low wall and all utilities being piped down from the ceiling above.
